dream car

was too late to get the Dream Edition Air. thought I may get a second chance in a few years. stalking one for about 4 years now.
this is fun.
I have a '22 GT which has been flawless (even the key fobs / mobile key).
The wife has a '17 Mazda 6 (30+ mpg on 87) ... i can't pry her from it.... she has range anxiety....even though she navigated for me to the solar eclipse all along central NY (no chargers) and lake Ontario ( few chargers ). We did fine. Great trip.

So the problem is I am ready to replace her car. She may be resistant to my choice (DEP).

Also, as if it matters, we are about 1 month from moving from our dream house to a "gotta downsize/gonna die soon" condo. I am negotiating with the E-contractor about the Lucid charger and the car=to=house hardware.

Thought this might be of interest to some of the folk here.

Love Lucid. This is the best car is the world. Still.

Maybe she'd be happy with a '26 Touring? It'll be quieter and have better HVAC.
My wife also likes to keep old things around. It explains my continued presence.

My wife suffers from the same anxiety. She insists her next car will be a hybrid due to the cross country trips we make. I don't think she is ready... However, if your wife is persuadeable, the addition of the Tesla Super Charger network to your charging options may convince her.

Thank you scal air for your sage counsel. I was going another way. I am going to argue the "mobile" 100 kWh battery back-up for the new townhouse.

There must be an after-market inverter that can be jury-rigged to provide at least 120v AC ... a few watts of light / fan for a summer thunderstorm outage ...

I’m sure there is a standalone inverter out there too, but many power banks like this one have 12V car input and a built in inverter. I use an older model like that in my car for similar reasons.

Part of the joy of having a Lucid (4 years ago) and the Lucid home charger, LCHCS, was the promised option to power your home from the car's battery...

... or was that fake news ? I know the hardware must exist because people have back-up generators and wall-mounted back-up battery packs for their solar ... I just don't understand why this isn't widely popular (EV to home). I was in (most of) Europe a few months ago and solar was everywhere, in every country, on most commercial roofs and many farm fields .
It was mostly small cars too...almost half were estates (station wagons). The only SUVs I noticed were the Range Rovers and G-wagons favored by the Russian Mob...gangsters seem to be the only European folk interested in SUVs. I guess like most Americans the Russian mob need a stupidly large vehicle to feel secure.

Meanwhile I'm thinking about an e-bike. Spend some time walking about Manhattan and you'll see where the world is heading.

I didn't have a problem getting back on a bike after many years, @Cosmo Cruz. It turned out to come back to me like... riding a bike.
