You know, I don't know what to do with this information. On the one hand, I do not want to give the business to the shop that has quoted $9,000. I am not one of those people who believes that if the insurance company pays it, it's free. On the other hand, I need the work done, and there is a chance the insurance company will pay it. If they do not, then I am left with taking the car to shop number 2 that will not work with my insurance company, or shop 3 that has introduced several hurdles to the process. The right, and perhaps best answer is to contact Lucid and make them aware of the situation and what one of their "authorized" shops is doing to see if they can correct it. I don't know. I still need my car repaired. Any opinions?
