My sales manager?

Apparently my car is arriving today or tomorrow so I just talked to my SA and she said that they've already applied a "manager's referral(?)" and it doesn't combine with a customer referral. Bad news for accessory discounts and forum friends, but apparently this gives me $1k off on the car itself?

Is this a thing? Why is there this wool on my face?

Don't worry.
$1K off is better and more impactful than the reward points.
Anyone who owns a Lucid can afford to pay for the items they want in the reward store.

Fer sure! But I still felt like "Wait, that's a thing?"

Kind of like all those Tesla Roadsters you see on the road after gobs of "influencers" easily accumulated the number of referral points to earn a free one, quite surprising the management. Why you can't swing a dead cat in the Bay Area without hitting, well, I was absolutely certain we were going to be swimming in them by now. Where are they? Did someone accidentally attach rocket engines to them and fly them into orbit somewhere?
