Target $0

It’s all based on rumor initiated by one website. I’m not worried at all about bankruptcy.
Agree, if anything it would be taken private.

RIP to all of us investors who thought we caught the bottom at $5 a few weeks ago 💀
lol... I thought it hit bottom well before that. Oopsie.

Good thing this was a mad money stock for me. Truly feel for owners of the cars at the moment.

Thinkin' how my ~$10 investment in ALTM, a lithium stock, was taken over by another company...who bought it for ~$5 months later. You might be surprised what Saudi agrees to, if they want to dump it without a bankruptcy.

The Wall Street trades are pushing the story now naming AlixPartners to explore Ch11 or going private...

Halted again.

any more clarity on this from anyone at LCID?
I think they’re under a blackout window so can’t comment which is very convenient timing for this to drop if that’s the case.

Edit: Saw Nick’s comment so guess they can comment 😛

This is likely correct (at least in the abstract, if someone is posting false information I would think the company could refute the false information even during a blackout window, refuting the false information would likely be done through the companies standard press release system). The LCID earnings call is August 4th at 5:30 pm ET and the blackout window typically starts a month prior to the earnings release (so July 4th in this case)

very specific wording, saying "bankruptcy" not "going private"
Came here to point this out - Lucid has a history of not appealing to Wall Street PR wise. I honestly believe many of us have expected it to "go private" at some point (I know I have since day 1).

Regardless, Wall Street tries to fit pegs into what Wall Street wants. Lucid doesn't tend to .. play that game.. at all.

Well, they should have.
The rumors are very much bankruptcy or private. Lucid only addressed bankruptcy so they don't get sued later when it goes private which is the obvious next step.

Going private would make a ton of sense. Clean things up behind the scenes and go public when on stronger footing.

"In corporate, legal, and financial contexts, "we undertake no duty to report" is a disclaimer stating an organization assumes no obligation to proactively disclose information, monitor for specific events, or update third parties. It limits liability by shifting the burden of tracking data onto the receiving party"

Those are lawyer words.

Yeah, but I'm much less concerned about private than bankruptcy. The latter means total loss of investment. Private means getting something out, perhaps even a decent deal (unless one's cost basis is still really high).

Of course, a cynic might say they're just driving the price down to $3 to make a private buyout around $5 look good. 😵‍💫😄💩

It's a wheel of fortune right now.
