Is there a way to turn on the Gravity view within lanes graphic without enabling ACC with DD premium? If not, can we add that to the software update requests?

There is currently no way. I have been asking for this since my first test drive.

Not sure on the gravity but on the air just turn it on but don’t engage it or if it’s engaged then disengage it

Would also like to add ability to turn on left and right side cameras without engaging the directional. My 2017 honda ridgeline has this for the right side. Immensely helpful while passing on-ramps, as the onrampers tend to insist they have the right of way. Nicevto see them coming

Did you not get the optional reflecting devices that attach to your car just in front of the front doors? Mine work great even with no power.
I did notice though that objects may be closer than they appear. YMMV

mine are further than they appear. I need a software update for them

I believe he's talking in jest about those olde tyme glass mirrors, very much standard equipment in both models.

Back to serious mode.
On our last trip my wife and I were talking about how long I could drive compared to her. Also why is she not seeing all the stuff I am until I point it out.
I have a theory that some people really focus on what’s in front of the vehicle (or even themselves) rather than the entire environment in which they find themselves.
I blink often and look around at my mirrors and out the windows. I see what’s in front and around before I need to see it.
Makes me wonder if driving training should be with unpowered brakes, manual transmission (no synchromesh), and no power steering. Do our current convinces encourage us barely move while driving or in fact most modern activities. Just a thought.

I am quite vigilant when driving, not only looking outside but aware of vehicles response and instrumentation. eg. On my wifes' Lancer, I notice water temp went up by 10% and slowly increasing, engine gave up in front of mechanic shop door due to dead pump. My Ford Focus when AC was getting a bit warm I immediately went off ramp and head to shop, alternator failure. Driving my friends Corona, I pulled over to gas station as math was wrong, we were running on vapour while needle showing 10% of fuel.

I use always do shoulder checks on previous cars, but this doesn't work on Air as B pillar is too thick, now I don't turn my head instead use blind spot display which works very well.

One thing though is that no matter how good the regen is, there will be a time brake pedal needs to be used in emergency stop, we who are used to ICE car has the muscle memory, but those who trained to drive with regen doesn't.

Having DDPro, it's really tough to go back to doing long trips without ADAS. I recently took one of my sports cars for a wedding 2.5 hours away and started regretting it 30 minutes in. I'm constantly checking every mirror, speed, navigation, etc. All that coupled with a suspension that is less forgiving, stiffer seats, and more engine/road noise meant I was both physically and mentally exhausted by the time I got there.

It feels ridiculous complaining about manually driving for extended periods because I never would've complained about it 10 years ago, but I guess I'm a bit spoiled now.
