Trunk Failure Warning

called me and they are sending a flatbed truck to pick up the car and they will redeliver it back to me by tomorrow at the end of the day , they are going to set up a rental car and a Uber to come and get me.

As Mr. Burns would say: Most Excellent. This is the type of service that can establish Lucid as a legitimate luxury mark!

Oh boy. Just had this opening inch by inch issue with my trunk as I was loading up for a road trip. Hope I don't end up with car alarms going off all night while visiting my friends. Will be great advertisement for lucid!

Oh man, my Lucid Air Pure just got this issue today. Looking back at the previous posts, it looks like there’s a lengthy fix ahead for me.

Anyone know how I can access the trunk from the inside of the car? I need my laptop for work that’s stuck back there now

I posed this question to a mobile tech when I was having issues with my trunk opening a few inches then quickly closing. I commented that there is no way to fold the seat back from inside the vehicle and the release is only from inside the trunk (probably for anti-theft purposes). He recommended that if this happened, that I fold down the ski passthrough, and use something long to pull on the emergency entrapment release. He said that it is pretty sensitive and I should be able to pop the trunk that way. You should give it a try. Hopefully you don't have too much "junk in the trunk" that prevents you from getting to the emergency release. Good luck and let us know if this helped

Good news- the trunk closure failure went away and I was able to open the trunk normally after letting the car sit for 30 minutes

Bad news- I have 2 new alerts (“right redundant light failure” and “reverse light malfunction”) constantly popping up with the car alarm going off every few hours (had to turn off shock and tilt alert to get that to stop). My local service center is booked up til June 😕

Adding my two cents to this chorus. I just started getting redundant light failure alerts and a red Trunk failure alert today (Houston, mid-summer, but happened after a cooling rainshower that took temp from 90s to 70s). Did a reset and that seemed to clear the trunk issue for now but am still getting the redundant light failure and light malfunction warnings. Called CC and all they could suggest was the resets I did (brake, X and microphone) plus, once reset, immediately leaving the car and going at least 50 ft away for at least 15 minutes. Didn't work. At least not having audible car alarm noise. (fingers crossed). Seems this is a programming thing for several years. Nothing on that Lucid?

Why not get it serviced? The light could have failed.
