Thinking about buying a used Air, how can I tell how the previous owner charged it?

I mean, if it were mine I would have limited the charge to 80%, no more. How can I tell how the previous owner treated the battery?

Ask them and hope for a truthful answer?
Or ask them to log into testmycode.cc with their Lucid ID and show you the results, for a reading of "battery health". It's unknown what this number represents exactly.
 
6% degradation reported on my 22 GT-P. Driven hard, 500-600+ mile trips in a single day, and primarily DC fast charged.

These batteries are solid. The ones that aren't Lucid replaces, so I wouldn't worry about it.
 
Isn't there a service to check the soh in the states? In Germany one can buy a test kit. Charge to 100 % and go down to zero within 7 days and then it give you a test certificate.
 
I use the unofficial API developed by group member to check battery health.

Unfortunately, I am just scouring dealers for one I'd like. Not sure if the dealers are competent enough to figure this out.

If the car was purchased new with free charging for 1 - 3 years at ElectrifyAmerica I'd lay odds that this is how they charged it. DCFC whenever possible.

I don’t think that’s a hard and fast rule. @AirDoll had 3 years of charging and has fast charged maybe a handful of times. Which I don’t think is an outlier. Most people buying these cars in 2022 weren’t exactly seeking out “free charging” which is why that promotion was a good deal for Lucid.
 
For those with older Air’s, does the Air’s in-car display take into account battery degradation for the rated range? The rated range for the Air Grand Touring should be:
  • 19" wheels: 512 miles
  • 20" wheels: 480 miles
  • 21" wheels: 446 miles
What number do you get when you divide the rated range by the current state of charge?

For example, my Gravity’s rated range when new is 420 miles. Today’s calculation for 313 miles (rated) at 74% state of charge gives:

313 / 0.74 = 420 (rounded to two significant digits, as SOC only has two).​

The number match, but my Gravity is only 6 months old and I’ve taken care of my battery, so I expect almost zero degradation. I’m wondering if this calculation will show degradation for the older Airs without having to go through Lucid or the unofficial Lucid API and tracking site.

Yes. You're right, that would be one way to calculate battery health. Divide the indicated remaining range by the current SOC percentage, then divide the result by the car's rated EPA range.

That was my experience too for a 2023 Air...
Charged in the garage (I have solar) for the vast majority of the time and only used EA on or after road trips. Routine DC charging was not worth the extra time and hassle for me.
Probably the best option is the check my code website mentioned earlier or ask that the car be charged to a 100% and check the range.
 
I think I charged my 2022 AGT a total of about five times at EA over the 3.5 years I owned it. 99% of charging was L2 at home.
