Hello,

My 14yo daughter and I are about to go on a road trip from Phoenix to 8 National Parks in AZ, CO, NM, & TX.

Any suggestions, thoughts, ideas on how to make this as easy as possible? This will be our first road trip in the Gravity GT and I am just looking for any ways to make the trip as smooth as possible.

I have purchased ABRP Premium and Tesla charging membership. The trip is about 2,500 miles and we will be gone 2-3 weeks.

We did road trips in AGT and loved it so I am sure all will go fine but never hurts to get advise from more seasoned road trippers.

What parks are you going to? A lot of parks do not have charging within the park so it is good to charge as close to the park as possible. The GGT has lots of range so you will be fine. The built in nav will select chargers for you. I would also use Plugshare to see ratings on charging locations. Avoid the Tesla chargers in Kayenta, they have a well deserved low Plugshare score. Tesla chargers are a great option for the Gravity but my experience is they are no more reliable than EA or EVGo.

Hello, we are going to Petrified Forest, Mesa Verde, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Rocky Mountain, Great Sand dunes, Carlsbad, caverns, Guadalupe, and White Sands.

Thank you for the information on the chargers. I haven’t used public chargers in a couple years so I appreciate the guidance.

Hope you have an amazing trip and the car adds to your enjoyment, rather than be a challenge to deal with. ;-)

The only advice I'd give would be to be careful searching for Tesla Chargers using apps vs the car's nav. I also have the Tesla charging plan and found there are Tesla chargers that will not work with the Gravity...and will show up in apps. So if you do that, just make sure it's showing up as compatible in the car's nav.
 
The hiway Tesla SCs frequently have cool stuff around them like museums or visitor centers so that makes it kinda fun. You’ll also often find Chargers at Costco, Krogers, Walmart, etc.

Make sure your range is set to Dynamic so you get accurate range remaining. I was nervous my first EV road trip too, but it’s a total non-issue. You will have a great time.
