Lucid Air Pure
Lucid is offering 0% APR but I was told they do not finance in New Jersey. Any one can confirm if this is true (this was not the case when I leased my Air 3 years ago). I am trying to finance Gravity but I was told through Lucid I can only finance.
 
Lucid is the worst on communicating things like this. The fine print appears to say anywhere except Indiana. But they also told me "no" for Ohio. I asked about the apparent discrepancy on their web site with something written - the Chicago SA declined. Even wrote to two exec's politely asking but no response.

They sure don't give much effort towards prospective customers. And from what I've seen, not much to owners either.

Lots of days they feel worse than Tesla, which is really hard to do. But that seems to be their goal. I keep hoping they will figure this out - eternally optimistic. But not today. But I hope they do someday.

I'm looking into Lucid, perhaps I should think about it more.
 
They don’t offer financing NJ. I’m using Navy Federal Credit Union. Seamless.
 
this is all due to local state dealership protection laws
the NADA has a very strong lobby
 
I am in NJ and I was able to lease it, I never checked on financing option. The bank Lucid used for leasing is BoA
 
Is the Gravity worth letting go of the Air GT? Mine just went out of warranty and as said above they have become a little ruder and less amenable to good customer service.

I haven't gotten much sense for what out-of-warranty repair costs might look like from reading this forum. I assume it's not cheap, if the car has a problem. But you know better than anyone whether your Air GT has had a lot of problems or been rock solid. For the Gravity, it's getting mostly rave reviews from early owners, even despite the teething pains. And the bug ridden software seems to have gotten quite a bit better, with hopefully more improvement to come this year.

Both the Gravity and Air are great vehicles and it depends on what you value the most. SUV vs. sedan. Both are best in class.
  • The Gravity has incredible handling, but it’s still an SUV. The Air will be more sporty.
  • The Gravity’s range is one of the best for an SUV, but it comes in second to the Air. It trades passenger and cargo capacity for range.
  • The Gravity has air suspension. I wish the Air had an option for Air suspension.
  • The Gravity has the Nvidia Orin platform for self-driving. It’s a generation ahead of the Air (Cosmos will be a generation ahead of the Gravity).
  • The Gravity can fast-charge at Tesla v3 at 200-250 kW. The Air is limited to 50 kW. Not an issue for other fast-chargers (Ionna, EA, EVGo, BP Pulse, etc.)
If you don’t mind switching from a sedan to an SUV and sacrificing a little bit of handling and range, the Gravity is the way to go, IMHO. The Gravity is one generation ahead of the Air.
