Whats this on the front light bar?

Hey all,

I noticed something weird on the front light bar. Not sure if thats a damage or just a mark. I can feel nothing when I touch on the bar, so it has to be from underneath.

I asked my delivery advisor about this when I picked mine up. He told me it will go away over time? Something about it heating up…? I’ve got the same thing.

They told me a crack in the paint was “a hair or something” on my first Air. It wasn’t, they’d closed something in the trunk and popped a small dent before delivery.

Every Gravity I saw there to include my overnight demo had this going on. Makes me curious what the deal is …🤔

I also didn’t pay it much mind TBH.

It’s probably a bunch of defective light bars they’ll have to fix later. I don’t see how that would “go away over time”. Like how much time? A year? A month? Nonsense.

I had the same pattern on my Gravity. You can’t feel it because it’s inside the light bar. Lucid swapped mine out, but they said it’s only cosmetic.
 
I wanted to make a post about this too. Mine looks the same .. and that started lately, can't recall it looking like this a month ago.

It'll go away over time... when you schedule a service appt to replace it?
 
The Air also had a little quirk I’ve noticed in the front light bar near the L and the D in the name. Almost like two little spots of dimmer light bar.
 
Mine has this too.
 
Known defect by Lucid. Allegedly, there’s a revised part in the works.. we’ll see.

Costa Mesa told me to wait for the revision for my defect.
 
These white spots showed up literally a week after I picked up the car. During my very first service visit, they told me it’s a known issue and that they would replace the light bar. However, they mentioned it might happen again since they haven't really found a permanent fix for it yet.
 
Same on mine. Seems like some defect where the plastic is chipping or cracking on the backside, it does bug me as it's quite noticeable in most lighting conditions, even when the lightbar is off.
 
I'm pretty sure this is car wax when they prepped the car for delivery. I tested removal using a very soft toothbrush and got most of it out. Also, got mine GGT from Costa Mesa, which leads me to believe the same individual/ team is doing this. I had wax residue all over the vehicle around the emblem, edges of the panels.

Thanks for the idea, no dice for me here. It’s in my service list for October. Did you just pickup your Gravity recently? I have a new twin in white near me I’ve seen a couple times in the last few days. East Valley IE area. Cool to see another Gravity out here.
