Just noticed that the Air online configurator isn’t taking custom orders for the 2026 Air vehicles anymore. Also, it seems lease deals are improving for June, so they’re trying to clear 2026 inventory.
Is the 2027 Air model getting announced soon?
I have low expectations to be honest, given their focus on addressing issues with the Gravity and the push for midsize, so the Air isn’t supposed to get too much love, unless they can surprise us with something unexpected. Get your poll votes in!

I am waiting too... I doubt there will be anything significant, but nonetheless curious. Do wish they would come up with some other color choices too...

I really would like DDPro2 so that I can stick with the Air instead of the Gravity.

On the one hand, I thought it'd be pretty unlikely. However, Emad confirmed the Air would be getting Gravity hardware, and I think it'd be odd to roll that out in 2027 after Cosmos has been released with next Gen hardware (likely DDpro3).

NACS seems to me a realistic ask

But DDPRO 2 is not even on the menu , they will need to do a massive overhaul to make ddpro works since it is based on different architecture

NACS is useless for the Air unless they switch to how the Gravity handles 500V/1000V chargers which I doubt would make it to the Air until 2028 (if ever). If the Lucid adapter couldn’t match the chargers speed then I would argue NACS is important but apart from not having to use an adaptor what does a NACS port get you? Nothing. The Air will still only charge at 50kW on 500V chargers.

I think the better want for Air would be DDPro 2 and it “may” be on the cards for 2027 if what was shown on the Lucid Saudi site was true.

Wait, what was shown on the Saudi site? Did they leak DDPro 2 for the Air?

I think it was on X where I saw it but someone had posted a pic from the Lucid site in SA that had DreamDrive Pro 2 listed on the marketing page. Can’t seem to find it now though.

NACS itself is pretty easy. The high power DCFC capability of Gravity to step up the 400V, not as simple to implement.

I saw an article back in March stating that the online configurator was offline pending the 2027 model announcements (but tbh I didn't check back then).

Hopefully the 2027s will be released for ordering before the end of the month, with details of any updates announced, but we'll see...

What improved lease deals have you seen in June? I think maybe the MF went down slightly (?) but I seem to recall were better incentives at the end of April. Maybe they'll improve towards the end of the month.

This is the main reason we bought the Gravity GT instead of the Air.

Nice to have I suppose but I honestly haven't missed it in the slightest. I've never needed to use a Tesla station yet. Someday, maybe if I end up in the middle of nowhere Wyoming where there is nothing else available, but in my road trips thus far, I've had no need to ever even look at a Tesla charger.

Tesla charging is nice and convenient, but expensive

Get the monthly subscription instead of paying 1.5x the price of Tesla vehicles. It pays for itself after a charge or two.

I’m looking forward to the day (Tesla) charging stations become manufacturer agnostic. Imaging a gas station being owned by GM and being charged 1.5x if you pull up in a Ford vehicle.

2027: GM introduces square fuel filling ports to enhance the customer experience. They’ll call it SquareFuel and also somehow make it subscription.

I love the Tesla super chargers when Im on the road. Charges to the full 100% without time or cost penalty and faster than my Tesla Y charged to 80%. So I am getting a rated 450 mile charge vs rated 256 mile charge in same or less time. That is a trip changing amount. If I stayed in town and charged at home it would not matter. However, I decided, my newest, most expensive car should also be my road trip car so its been great on my 4 trips from NCalifornia to LA.

I've been consistently getting full charging speed at the non-tesla chargers I've used. EA, Chargepoint, IONNA , Flying J, MB, etc.
