We were driving home from our labor day vacation and the battery was below 25%. we notice certain functions were no longer working, ie cruise control, the map guidance was funky, and some other features. When we got home and put the charger in, eventhough we have the charger to start charging after midnight, it immediately started charging. Just wanted to now if these things are normal. Does anyone have a list of things that stop working after the battery gets below 25%..

It sounds like a GPS issue rather than anything related to battery SOC.

I don’t think that the battery level is related to the other issues you had. Do a full reset and see what happens. I have had mine down to 6% without any such issues.

Bobby, I was not expecting that reply. Since, prior to this, recently, we have had no issues whatsoever. Everything seemed to be working perfectly. Is there any warnings that do come on when the battery is low, letting you know if certain features will be shutting down to save the battery function?

Yes it starts warning you at 10%.

Yes and it’s an orange little battery on your dash that looks like an ICE alert and it will also prompt you to go into some sort of conserve mode.

That said, it doesn’t just shut things down. However, if you go into the conserve mode, you can not adjust air conditioning temp or speed, for example, unless you manually turn off the energy saving mode…

Tesla will throttle down the acceleration curve on low battery. I haven't particularly noticed that on the Air. The only think I noticed the other day is it won't let you do AC Keep if you leave the car (like Tesla) which makes sense.

I can assure everyone that nothing happens at 25%. The light comes on at 10 or 9%, and even then all should work pretty much normally. I’ve gone as low as 6% without the car behaving any differently.

I think it would have to be down to 1 or 2 % before anything would be shut down.

It must have been a coincidence for the OP.
