Hi

About to order a 2026 Lucid Air Touring. I currently have a Tesla Model S and am wondering if I can charge my new Lucid with the generation 1 Tesla wall charger with a NACS to CCD1 adapter?

Will the one Lucid sells work? If so it would get double duty at Tesla charging locations and at home.

Many thanks.

You can charge your Lucid Air with a NACS to J1772 adapter using your Tesla home charger.

Lucid sells the NACS to CCS1 adapter that is for DC fast charging and is not for home charging.

Perfect... thanks. Looks like those are readily available.

Just don't buy a cheap off-brand NACS to J1772 adapter. Get one from a company like Tesla-Tap or Lectron.

A2Z also looks good - CSA certified, with UL "coming soon"

Congratulations on your new car! You will love it. Another thought, the Lucid is one of few cars that can take 80 amp level 2 charging. I have a 80 amp charger and charged my daughter’s Tesla (at 40 amps) and mine as well in the same evening. I understand you already have a charger but at some point you might consider going larger if your present charger fails and your panel can handle it. BTW you are free to use my referral code, in my profile. Save yourself $1,000!
