3,242 Mile Road Trip - Lucid Air GT 2022 - LA to Arkansas

I had Mobile Service visit me yesterday to replace door handle, and asked him to replace the missing rivet in the air dam. I forgot to ask him for a hand-full, as I can't find something similar in the auto parts store. Each new Lucid should come with a half-dozen air dam rivets...or they should sell them in their on-line store. I'm glad the come off so easily without damaging anything.
Yeah I actually like the design a lot. I’m sure the Lucid engineers had a bit of a dilemma knowing they were bound to come off but that they also increased range by a sizable amount. I believe Lucid has a parts department which you can order them from.

I’ve only had two sets on my daily driver which mobile service was telling me the other day was a bit of a feat.

@Denali_Dane was messing with my record numbers!

Where'd those chairs come from???

The one on the left is an old “Thank you” merch item the Owners Club used to have. They don’t make them anymore unfortunately because the chairs themselves are super expensive. But @Denali_Dane made the green bear chair since he was jealous of mine.

His is spot on identical other than the green bear (which he changed since his car is going to be the same shade green). Ultimately, I think he’s going to make a few more.

Yah i had to one up yours by making an exact replica then added a bit of custom to it with the glow in the dark Lucid Bear.
So yah mine is better...

One problem with the EA network on road trip is busses blocking the EA station for extended periods of time. 2+ hours it takes them to charge (we asked) and your kinda unable to see if they are there via the app (other than stalls being unavailable) but the buses take up three stalls for two busses that are charging.

(Not a road trip pic but where we learned this was a big thing…)

This happened to us recently on I-5. We pulled off to charge at an EA and two busses and one car charging so all four chargers a no-go (and one waiting car was another Air). Moved on, made it to Harris Ranch where another bus was taking up multiple spots. Fortunately they had a couple open chargers on the opposite side so it worked out - this time, could easily have been a recipe for a long wait. One situation where I could see even 50kW Supercharger access being useful even if undesirable.

No idea what their routes are, but having these buses take up limited public charging infrastructure seems sub-optimal and could easily become a bigger issue. A lot more chargers are needed or having them have something dedicated for these large, long charging vehicles (which I'm sure is another infrastructure problem in itself).

Yeah they should have a commercial side of EA chargers. This is totally a situation where the Tesla charger would come in handy. Glad to see the Tesla charger in the rewards store!

Yah at least sell them in there store.
They could have all kinds of stuff in there store up for sale. Pins, trinkets, keychains, road blankets, chairs etc.
I want a lucid Air die cast model.
Somthing bigger than a hotwheels.
