When I got in my car, the main dashboard screen (the one above the steering wheel) and the screen to the left of that are black. The two middle screens are working. I did both types of resets but it didn’t fix the problem. I spoke with customer care and they are going to tow the car to the service center, but I’m wondering if anyone here has any ideas. I’m pretty frustrated because I’ve only had the car for three months and this is the third time it’s had to go to the service center and each time I was without the car for a week or more. I’m actually going to look into NJ law to see if I can make a lemon law claim.

My car is going into service tomorrow with the same issue only it’s the right side of the cockpit display. I also had the pilot display go black today, but it came back after the car sat for 15 minutes or so. I’ve had my car for just over 3 weeks and I’ve had more issues than the last 7 cars I’ve owned and it’s less than a month old. Good luck on your issue. I’m hoping they can fix it fast because I do like driving the car, but it has consumed my life since I got it.

Sometimes letting the car go into a deep sleep will resolve issues if the reset doesn’t. I’m assuming you’ve already left it overnight and the issue has persisted? If so, then yes, it needs to go in to be looked at.

Lucid has loaners, they’re not offering you one?

I did let the car sit overnight but it didn’t fix the issue.

They don’t offer loaners when a car needs to be towed and at first it was going to be towed because it wouldn’t go into gear. But, after numerous resets and pressing of the brake, I was finally able to get the car into gear and service was willing to give me the loaner and drive the car to Rutherford even though it had the black dashboard screen, (it was taken yesterday). But low and behold that after sitting with a black dashboard for two days, as soon as the guy came yesterday to get the car the dashboard finally lit up (it was still black just 30 mins before that). Anyway, it’s at the service center now but they are backed up and so I don’t yet have an ETA on when I’ll get the car back.

I’m sure they will get it fixed quickly. Of course you don’t have an ETA yet, they only took the car “yesterday.”

They actually already warned me that it may take 1-2 weeks because of how backed up they are (hopefully it won't be more than a week though).

KOP has flat-bedded a loaner up to me in northern NJ, then taken my car back on the same flatbed.

It’s always the way 😂

Hopefully it’s a quick fix and you’ll have your car back sooner rather than later

Lucid was unable to replicate my black dashboard issue and so after being in the Rutherford service center for a few days, Lucid is returning my car without doing anything. I told them that this is the second time the dashboard went black but they said they can’t replace anything unless they can replicate the issue. It’s a bit concerning because this last time it happened the car would not even go into gear and the dashboard remained black for two days, which obviously made the car unusable. My gut is that it’s only a matter of time before it happens again - ugh!

I have the same issue only mine is the right side - the center and left are fine. On top of that, when you swipe the pilot display up, it gets stuck until you reset or let it sleep for awhile. The car is in the shop now. They replaced the CCC (Center Control Console) and that didn’t fix it. They had the entire display from another car so they put that one in as a test. Bingo! So now I’m waiting for a new cockpit panel to come in. I hope you can get yours fixed - what a hassle.

I had the right cockpit screen flashing if I hit the home button. Everything else worked. Thought it was software, but they replaced the CCC and it has been fine ever since. May have gotten the my new CCC since I didn't get the update my mail.

That really sucks. Unfortunately they won't do anything with mine unless it has the issue while it is in the SC. The bigger issue with mine is I'm not even able to drive the car at all when it happens. It's really ridiculous that they won't do anything to fix it and that I have to just keep having it go to the SC for nothing.

I've seen this twice now. The screens come back on when I press the drive control on the pilot panel.

Definitely understand your frustration but if they can't replicate or no errors are showing up in the logs I understand why they won't replace. If you haven't done so already, take video of the issue when it happens, take note of what you did, time, date, what you were doing, etc. Did you do anything differently the time it happens vs other times you've gone to use the car etc. These cars are computers on wheels and when they won't throw up an error in the logs it sometimes turns into trying to find a needle in a haystack. Every little bit of information you provide while seeming trivial could help figure out where \ what is causing the issue.

Just to be clear, do you mean pressing the "drive mode" on the pilot panel? If not, which is the drive control?

Thanks for this. I don't recall doing anything differently with the car, but I will pay closer attention. And I will definitely take a video next time - I wish CS would have told me to do that!
