Just realistic thinking IMO. I've been waiting for AA since it was coming soon in October 2022.That sounds even more disheartening
Doesn't that just allow wireless AA on cars that have wired-only AA?Does anyone know if this USB device (Ottocast for Android) works for AA in our Airs?

I'm not sure what it is. They show plugging in a USB stick and then AA connects from your phone.Doesn't that just allow wireless AA on cars that have wired-only AA?
Just confirmed you are correct. This will not help us. ThanksDoesn't that just allow wireless AA on cars that have wired-only AA?
I just installed this and it works pretty good. CarlinkitDoes anyone know if this USB device (Ottocast for Android) works for AA in our Airs?

I tried one of those, and I couldn't get it to work at all. There are multiple dongles that work. Here's another one. Look up instructions posted earlier in this thread.
In fairness, literally no one has CarPlay 2 yet. That’s on Apple.how long it will take Lucid then to get Apple CarPlay 2...2030 ?
Happy AAT and looking forward for ACP2
And you missed the time window to edit or delete the previous reply. It will forever live as a couple in this AA thread as it lives on every Thursday.Ha. And of course, as soon as I say that, Apple announces this:

CarPlay Ultra, the next generation of CarPlay, begins rolling out today
Today, CarPlay Ultra is available with new Aston Martin vehicle orders in the U.S. and Canada, and will be available for existing models in the coming weeks.www.apple.com
I don't miss it in the Lucid as much as I thought I would. I have the Carlinkit set up for AA, but I only plug it in maybe 10% of the time. But I do really appreciate it in rental cars. It saves you from having spend the time to figure out a completely different UI in a car that you'll only be driving for a few days.I rented a Nissan Altima yesterday for two days...used Android Auto after several years...and what a seamless experience ... I just wish for AA to come to Lucid Air this year....the lack of it is ridiculous..but I'm not saying anything that's not been said before...just getting really tired after being tired of no AA....puh leeze Google...let the damn thing loose...
Android Auto is perfect for a rental car. Android Automotive with native Google Maps, voice Assistant (soon to be Gemini LLM) and an app store is perfect for a primary daily driver.I don't miss it in the Lucid as much as I thought I would.
