I'm picking my car up around sundown and taking my wife to dinner - she doesn't want to drive it first. I've RTFFed this topic about most everything, except being cautious with it straight out of the dealership? Given 60% highway driving should I:
  1. Try nothing. Use the most minimal settings available to shift into drive, smooth setting, and low-regen setting?
  2. Nothing + music.
  3. Nothing + music + CarPlay for navigation.
  4. The above with AutoPark at the restaurant.
  5. The above with HA and high-regen?
  6. The hell with it. Have some fun.
I welcome any first-time experiences and advice after delivery.

I'll go with your #6, just watch the potholes. You hit one, you get the flat tire, your evening is ruined, your wife is questioning why did you choose this route and not the other one.
No sex for a few nights :)

#6 for sure!

Before having fun on the highway, get a feel of the acceleration and re-gen on a street.

Congrats on the car.

I'd probably subconsciously drive a bit more defensively just because it's new and expensive.
If bad things happen it's probably due to other people on the road. Otherwise, same rules as any other car with big HP. Mind the conditions and don't mash it in a corner.

The Regen was pretty intuitive on the test drive doesn't take much to get used to it. 29 days out from mine and I can't wait.

#6 and echo what everyone said, get use to the re-gen so that you or your passenger doesn't get car sick from it.

Without a doubt #6. When I picked up my Touring, I had to drive an hour including 70% highway and 30% city. No regrets.
I already had an idea of re-gen because I took 3-4 test drives ;)
BTW, I am on 19s...

Just Enjoy. Lucid has come long way :)!!

Watch the accelerator pedal until you get used to the car. EV torque comes on more quickly and urgently than in gasoline-powered vehicles. I'd recommend staying in "Smooth" mode for the first few miles, as it retards throttle response a bit.

Then just enjoy it. The Air is a blast to drive.

#6 for sure.

With everyone complaining about lane keep assist, Lucid has got nothing on Audi, Mercedes and Porsche when it comes to abrupt side jerking lane corrections!

My advice is just not to mess with any the stuff while driving, can be distracting until you learn it a bit. Other thing is to realize the car has reasonably low clearance so be careful with steep driveways/entrances and also with concrete parking stops or curbs as some of those will be higher than the front bumper.

Get some take out and stop by grocery store to shop and utilize your amazing frunk.

Take it to a Whole Foods, park out front, grab a latte and watch people take pics.
