Glad to hear you’re not having issues with it. I never even end up test driving it frankly but my experience with other Volvos is that the interior space is tighter than it seems like it should be for the exterior size. Maybe that’s by design. But I’m a fairly tall and wide shouldered and I find...
I had a reservation on the EX90 from early on. I ended up cancelling it because it was so delayed and delivered missing a lot of features. But if you visit any EX90 forums since they’ve started delivering you’ll see a LOT of pretty awful complaints about the car. While the Gravity is having some...
I feel like it does make a difference but I’m not sure it’s worth the difficulty of dealing with the tires with foam. I remember driving my car to Costco to get the tires changed so I noticed the difference back-to-back. The newer tired without the foam didn’t seem louder from a regular road...
To be fair it’s kind of hard to not be in the wrong spot when the FWDs start to open. I guess I always just used the key fob when outside or the screen when inside to prevent people from having to figure it out. The exterior handles on the X are completely unintuitive. It looks like a capacitive...
Have you had any issues with RATGDO? I have a couple of them sitting on my desk that I haven’t installed yet because I still have Homelink on my car and I don’t really use the open/close function on my Home Assistant setup anyway.
I’ve heard some rumors of false open/close signals causing...
Oh. That's actually pretty cool that you can assign different functions to different directions of the toggle switch. Great way to get more customization.
Very early 3s had Homelink, I believe as standard. We have a 3 from the first few months of production and I’m pretty sure we didn’t have to order Homelink as an option.
Thanks for the write up. If you could keep us updated on the HUD reflection issue that would be appreciated. If it’s not something that is fixed or explained by the SC then I think a lot of us waiting for it would just opt out of the HUD/Tech Package.
I think in Surround View you can use your finger to rotate the display keeping your car in the center. So it’s not like a “normal” overhead view, which has a camera locked directly above your car.
I believe what he described is exactly what it is. I seem to remember seeing something in a video that is basically a “Birds Eye view” type feature that we see for parking but it actually remembers the surface of what your car has driven over and renders it rather than the photo of the car. It...
Feels like it’s a bit of both. From some of the earlier YouTube reviews there was at least a little more to see from the HUD on those test models. The only thing I saw in the showroom was the P for parking. I assume it would at least show speed or something but nobody knows for sure.
