    Hello From Germany

Welcome and congrats on your new Lucid. Also in Bavaria 👍 The biggest issue in Germany is range as the ideal speed for range is well below the average speed on the Autobahn around here 😁 There is a big difference going for a quick sprint into the triple digits in the U.S. versus sustained...

    Dash cam

Here is our camera on the windshield when taking the pic at roughly 90 degrees. No impairment of the image besides the bad weather ;)

Here is a snap-shot of our settings. I mentioned that the event settings is not needed; you could easily select any other of their settings.

I will take a look at the settings and get back to you... But, yes, you can just record even without optimizing the parking setting. It will just generate a lot of unneeded footage.

The Viofo build-in screen makes it really easy to find the best camera position before peeling off the protection and attaching it to the window. I have no obstruction on the image at all.

    This I like...Things I don't...Things I miss as a former Tesla M3 owner

I am happy with the trunk although the height restriction is an issue with the Air and any traditional sedan shape. The Model 3 is a hatchback with a sedan trunk, so higher trunk at the expense of the look (and possibly aerodynamics). If not traveling with a family, at least the 90 degree rear...

Lucid Audio Experience AMA (March 11, 2025)

Fantastic info! I greatly appreciate the feedback and info from @marqie ! I know the question about Atmos on Apple Music (CarPlay) has been asked before and you are actively working on it. I am just curious if there is a bit more detail available as to the priority and timeline in the current...

    Dash cam

That's common as the battery extender completely changes the wiring setup. I also realized that calling everything a hardwire kit was confusing, hence the clarification. Here is a pic of how the battery pack wiring. Input is the only cigarette lighter socket in the Lucid; unique location but...

    Dash cam

That is how you use it. The battery pack has a default input and output, normally both are cigarette lighter connections. What you do is to replace the output (female cigarette lighter) with a custom hardwire splice kit that connects directly to the dash cam. In the case of the VIOFO it is a...

    Dash cam

To clarify my earlier post. There is a hardwire kit for the dash cam and a hardwire splice kit for the battery extender. I wouldn’t use a dash cam hardwire cable as that needs to be connected to the Fusebox for ignition (switched) and permanent power. Easy on an ICE but I wouldn’t touch that for...

    Dash cam

The wiring goes from the front cam to the battery pack in the trunk which then connects to the cigarette lighter using the supplied VIOFO cable. I did not use the hardwire kit; this way it was easy to avoid messing with an EV fusebox. The battery pack was back-ordered from Blackboxmycar so I...

    Dash cam

I just realized that I never uploaded the pics... The install is a dual-channel Viofo A329 which is currently the dash cam with the best sensors (Starvis 2) on the market. High resolution (4k@60Hz F, 2k R), HDR, etc. We also use an extended power pack which allows for many days worth of parking...

    Frunk space

We use Tumi luggage (nothing full size though) and we can fit 2 carry-ons and 2 backpacks into the frunk with room to spare :)

    Upgraded to 2.6.5 (Europe)

Thanks! I tried to compare the lists but it’s difficult as this single update contains all 2.3, 2.4,2.5 and 2.6 updates and reads like a book. Overall a great improvement 😁 We do have a fully adaptive lighting system here which shapes the light beam (similar to European intelligent lighting...

    Upgraded to 2.6.5 (Europe)

The latest version in Europe was the ancient 2.2.10 and now we just upgraded to version 2.6.5. Did we just leapfrog the US version? Given the huge jump I can't tell how that differs from the latest US rev. Anyone know how to check?
