For the first part of your statement--this has successfully (I hope) been diagnosed after 10 months and multiple service visits. Having your car fixed in good time is no comparison to my experience. Yes they fixed it, but after months of headaches.
The loaner crapping out--i see it as a safety...
Yes, the good thing is they spent the time to diagnose and fix the issue. Let's hope that it stays fixed. The ride home was quiet for once, but it'll take some time to see if it keeps.
They gave me a AGT as replacement loaner (for the one that had the pilot panel that crapped out) and that...
Yes, I don't think this quite fits the definition of a lemon, but MY car was just not built well.
And because I know you all are itching for an update:
I finally picked it up my car this morning after a week of repairs trying to fix the noisy parcel shelf. Boy was I surprised when I found out...
If anyone is dying for an update--i tried multiple times last night to reset the vehicle to get the pilot panel to work with no luck. Woke up this morning to clean the car out for my replacement loaner and it booted up blank with a normal screen behind the wheel. A minute or so later the pilot...
I saw MKBHD's video...definitely not an Ocean 😅
I do think this forum is useful. I know there are Lucid employees stalking these threads, as they have contacted me directly on issues like the home charger. So I don't think I'm necessarily screaming into the void. And I do think it useful for...
I looked closely at Tesla when I was shopping around. I think overall Lucid does have a better build quality and is more "luxury" than Tesla, but Tesla currently has better software. Since I thought the software will improve over time (the last update is a decent example), I went with Lucid...
When the car works (no weird sounds, responsive fob, waking to a charged car, no weird warning lights, etc), it is amazing. But for me, that is only a couple days per month.
This is laughable. The thought they put in to having mechanical switches for audio and climate but then relying on an interface for the glove box seems like a huge oversight.
I respectfully disagree with some of your points. As I mentioned, the backseat rattling has been going on for almost a full year with multiple service visits and fixes without resolution. The scheduled charging issue has been an issue from Day 1. The battery issue has been there since month 1...
No ideas. They are sending a replacement loaner tomorrow. And I told them they will have to force it open if they don't have a fix by then. I was hoping one of folks here had an idea before I took out my crowbar, which I will absolutely do before they take this car back.
I am coming up on 12 Months with my car. Almost 10K miles in the Philly area. 2023 AT.
Looking back, this has been THE worst purchase of my life. I was holding out hope after my terrible sales experience that things would get better. But the truth is there hasn't been one month, or even two...
