What if it did change and the first instance was at a busy pedestrian crossing? A short second or two glance down to the pilot panel thinking the car had stopped and held could result in rolling into a crosswalk full of people.

I have 2.9.0. I plugged in around 2 PM today with a scheduled charge time of midnight tonight. It currently says “charging is scheduled” and I fully expect it to start then. But I’ll respond here tomorrow morning to confirm for you.
