I think this amount triggers a 1099 MISC so taxes will be due on that amount. So think about it accordingly. I for one would be willing to pay a higher point amount. Bottom line is that it wouldn’t be “free”. Entirely would depend on your tax situation.

The sound improvement had been mentioned a few times but I don’t think the release notes posted here mentioned it. I’d love to know what those improvements are!

What’s been the experience with that? I have 44k miles on mine and a quote online was like almost 5-6k usd. I guess worth if I know I’m getting it for 4-5 years more.

Would you elaborate on what finally works?? Are you hearing Spatial Audio or you think the volume leveling is better?

hmm time will tell if this is worth the $950.. once the "new toy" feel wears off, would be great to get a sense for if this actually enables anything new in terms of new capability. pitting the pilot panel to better use is one, but thats not gonna be enough for me ;)

Assume you both have the CCCv2 upgrade? Based on the release notes this updates seems like just a new UX but not a full gravity level update to the platform. Just a little curious if this 2.11 also needs the cccv2 update…

Maybe it’s a multi stage release? The hardcore, new capability filled releases will come later with something actually called 3.x. Just guessing.

Nothing like that is in the release notes.. i'd venture no. I think this is a limited reskin of the UX.. nothing more.. they are bringing in elements of UX3 into the air on the 2.x code base..

I assume that means Video Streaming via native UX and the data connection. fingers crossed that they find a way to enable whatever carplay supports via iOS 27 or later. I can only hope.. But i'm not holding my breath for it! Edit: while they are at.. add pass through of spatial audio! again...
