    Any one order the Sapphire?

I just got the email, but definitely not ordering one for many reasons, price being number one. Interesting price point and I'm curious what Air DE folks think? Is it worth the extra $80k for another 100hp, carbon brakes, extra software for the, and an exclusive color? I'm certainly looking...

Lucid Sapphire - Extra Throttlehouse Video

I agree - PR should focus on production and less on additional "high end" models if he ever wants the company to survive. If he wants LCID to compete with Lamborghini or Ferrari and never make an affordable car for a large audience, so be it, but this is a distraction in my opinion. Between...

    Air Pure reservations

You beat me too it. This is their attempt to help keep reservation holders locked in. Lucid doesn’t provide tax advice so it’s up the tax payer to determine if they qualify under the transition rules.

7500 EV tax credit update with new bill

Why won't the Ioniq qualify? This really through a wrench in my plans. I was hoping to get the Lucid (it would be my first luxury car ever), but without the tax break, the Pure's delta is too much versus a Model 3 performance (I currently have a model 3 dual motor that is almost 4 years old)...

    Q2 2022

I'm curious as to whether they're able to produce GTs, Tourings and Pure's on the same line or if there are different lines? How does the changeover go between cars with glass roof versus the steel roof. If i'm Lucid, I'm cranking out all the GTs I can given profit margins and I'm telling...

    Q2 2022

Really love how Peter starts the call off with maximum fluff.... plenty of detail around "potential" reservations, Goodwood record and in-house expertise. At least he clarified the Pure is still on track for production before the end of the year.

    Q2 2022

Why are we comparing LCID to TSLA here? Tesla is 5 years ahead of LCID in terms of scale and production. I'm more interested on everyone's thoughts solely on LCID's execution amidst the supply chain shortages, recalls and other issues. What will 2023 realistically look like? This is a...

    New bill

I am hoping this drags out well into 2023. If the credit isn't applicable to my Pure reservation, the delta may just be too large between this and the other option I'd consider upgrading to.

Dream Drive versus Dream Drive Pro

Tesla's solution works pretty well for me and continues to iterate better. That China video is probably geofenced, on perfectly labeled roads and there's no traffic. Let's add a variable or two and see how well they do in NJ traffic circles. The jury's still out, but I'm a believer that LiDAR...

Tri state area (NY, NJ, CT)

Short Hills is my local center as well. I reserved a Pure AWD in QG in May. For those that have taken delivery and are willing, I'd love to check out someone's car in person. I was in the store last week and the studio adviser said they're only giving test rides to GT and Touring reservation...

    Air Pure reservations

It would be a mistake on Lucid's part if there's no heated seats in the Pure, although I believe they'll be included. In the northeast, I run the heated seats in winter quite a bit to reduce the need for running the heat, which is a range killer, especially given the lack of a heat pump...

    Air Pure reservations

While we don't know the final numbers, the Pure AWD has to have more HP than 480hp. Neither the Lucid or Model S has or likely will have track mode, only the Model 3 presently has that software feature. I am likely the oddball here that will either purchase a Pure (for the luxury aspect) next...

    Tesla Self-driving software

It's no different than what Lucid is asking for in Dreamdrive Pro. Has anyone seen a commitment/date from Rawlinson on when he thinks level 3+ automation will be achieved? The website simply says future ready hardware for semi-autonomous driving. The OP is cherry picking an article that...

JD Power: EVs and and plug-in hybrids have more problems than combustion engine cars

Infotainment is the least of the problems I'd worry about in a hybrid. They have all of the ICE parts and all of the EV parts, so some magnitude more of potential for issues on either set of components. Packaging, weight and the additional heat generated are also problems I'd worry about. The...

    Lucid Air Pure Dual Motor

It's $5000 for those that configured before the price increase. The website says its a $5500 option now for new orders. I also believe they use the same motors in all the trim levels, but haven't seen proof. They're likely software limited on the less expensive versions.
