I actually had the same question and measured the distance between the wheel wells when the Gravity prototype was at the Tysons Lucid Owners event last October. It was about 42" wide as I recall.

So how do you use it in your car? The top won't swing to the side. Do you swing it to the rear behind the cupholder over the storage space behind it? Although that would block the storage space some, it would have the advantage of blocking the pilot panel less.
