    ECU Upgrade Question

BLUF (Bottom Line Up-Front): I think the ECU upgrade will fix a good portion of my issues because things sometimes trip over each other in the load-bootup phase.

    ECU Upgrade Question

Makes sense. I'm curious how the boot-up-sequence may improve. I see random and frequent issues with the panel options if I go "too quick" from door-access to backing-out of my "carriage house" as-it-were. ;p For instance, for the entire drive, sometimes I get radio, sometimes not...

    ECU Upgrade Question

Getting my ECU upgraded on 29 Aug. Wondering if the settings and associated FOBs are saved in a separate EPROM? Both batteries are being replaced as well, so that bodes poorly for not having to re-select my settings, etc. Anyone have experience with this? Wish me luck!

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

It's pretty much all the time now. No audio without a soft reset (at least once, sometimes twice). No option for any software update. Still using 2.7.1 Annoyance of this is.. slight.

    2.8.0 Software Update

No 2.8.0 Update for mine yet, still on 2.7.1. I wonder if they address the "usually no audio" problem that occurs in the 2.7.1 drop that requires a soft-reset before every drive?

    Pirelli lm1 vs lm2

I called Pirelli and basically the LM2 solves some of the LM1 sidewall issues with some reinforcement. LM1s had a chance of getting a "tire bubble" on the sidewall resulting in inevitable rupture. The balance between lightweight and dealing with the Lucid's weight and subsequent low-profile...

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

I've noticed with the latest software drop, about 1/2 the time there is zero audio, all muted. No radio. No blinker noise. No rear backup sound. Fixing requires a soft-reset with the Air Logo. This always returns audio back to service until the next day of use.

Wanted WTB: Lucid Dream Edition Performance window-sticker "Monroney" label

I have a 2022 DE-P but never got a window sticker. Looking for one, preferably laminated, 2022 Eureka Gold. Of all the cars I've owned, I keep them on a wall as a keepsake. $200.

Another simple subwoofer install with pics

If it's already 2 Ohms then you're doing the right thing. I ran both without power and there was a very small amount going to the external sub, but it was negligible and could barely hear it. I'm not an electrical engineer so my answers are probably extra wrong.

Another simple subwoofer install with pics

Yes, parallel. I believe it changes the ohms to 2 from 4, so less resistance which may drive the rear sub a little too much. I found it would be too explosive unless you turn-up the powered add-on sub by itself which seems to be able to handle the 2 ohms and I set the resistance to high. It...

Another simple subwoofer install with pics

The smaller 8" JBL was sounding fairly clippy and lousy when I put it behind the rear seats. I angled it at 90 degrees and it was better but not great. I played with the phase and "boost" of 35db and it was still boom-y and distorted somehow. I spent a month adjusting very slightly back and...

Another simple subwoofer install with pics

I installed in-parallel as per instructions. I think I'm at 2 Ohms now instead of 4 so the stock one "pops" sometimes. I took me about a month to dial-in balance and EQ to get it rounded-out. Sirius XM native App transmits different EQ settings for each song and each channel so dialing-in the...

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

"Fla-Key FOB". Honestly, I think it might be the freq. interference and battery drain. Normally it's 315 MHz for most cars. Tesla is 6 GHz, just outside of the current 5 GHz freq. making interference less of an issue (for now) except some areas are experimenting with 6 GHz like in subway...

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

Sometimes I wonder if it's 2.4 GHz interference or phone-handshake sweep issues? Interestingly, my Android (Pixel 9 Pro XL) opens the car if I have BT turned-on anywhere in my house and the car is in the garage (carriage house for the hoity-toity silver-top owners). The key fob opens it...
