More phantom breaking in the last month or so ...

It did it again, 3 times yesterday, while cruising on 405 from SD to LA. One time, it actually SLAMMED the breaks. This is crossing from annoyance into safety-issue territory now. I didn't think to note down the time but I will start doing that.

    New Air Touring Owner

To clarify my point, I was contrasting a purchasing process that has no people involved vs one that does. Talking to a sales person, in a dealership, has its advantages. As long as the manufacturers will keep people in the buying process, that you can talk to, negotiate with, I am happy.

Look at it this way: the more you wait, the better they get. Leave the early adopter bug discovery to others.

True, but you also get some fleas as part of the deal. Give some, get some.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

I for one, have a system. I got this monkey (ChiChi) that chills in front of my garage. When she sees my car, I throw a banana at her, and she opens the garage. Highly recommended, at only a few cents for one opening.

Don't worry about the scolding, you'll get used to it. I went through the same stages of grief :)

Emotional factor aside, buying from manufacturer is worse. With a salesman, if you catch him at the right time, you might get something out of him. When buying from a website you don't get squat, no matter what. I've always been able to negotiate a 5 - 10% off for the 2 dozens cars I had over...

    New Air Touring Owner

Congrats on the ride, the Air is 2 leagues above the i4, except the software. It's more equivalent to an i7 in terms of luxury, but much better dynamics. I am not surprised that the BMW dealer wasn't willing to negotiate - apparently the i4s sell very well.

Hopefully Lucid reads this and gets a fix in. The perennial problem tho is that every fix breaks something else - without fail, like a Swiss clockwork.

    OTA Update 2.7.0

People here are suggesting "alternatives" because there is no fix for it. And they are making excuses because they love their Lucid, perfect or not, and they've learned to cope with its deficiencies. I don't think there's someone here that doesn't agree that this is a screw up. It is the single...

    OTA Update 2.7.0

I have a feeling that fixing the poor entry experience is not a simple software update. Might have to do with the hardware and that's not something that I see Lucid recalling all its cars for, at this time. I just got used to it. It happens like 50% of the time: I press the handle, the car...

Please, would you jump in with my baggage?

These are a distillation of the opinions on this forum. People that recommend the car enthusiastically and others that are more cautious. I'm not sure what the complication is. What are the alternatives?

Please, would you jump in with my baggage?

So, OP, here are your choices: A) Go ahead and ignore all the negative stuff, it's not really representative, the car is amazing, even if you have some issues you'll get over it fast. Best thing since sliced bread. B) Do your homework, know that there is non-insignificant chance that your car...
