Can confirm at least one of them was not working properly, hence why it was covered. And the manner of the malfunction really didn't seem like a software problem. Leads me to believe the supply chain issue is actually a design flaw and they need extra time to source updated replacement part(s).
I think about that Volvo concept probably once a week because of how obstructive the Air pillars are. I'm also ducking and weaving in the drivers seat to try and see things hidden behind it 😂
Interesting, when I drove it on Monday we removed the cover and gave it a try. It was extremely dim and nearly impossible to see, it was definitely malfunctioning. FWIW, this was a Touring model that is equipped with the HUD.
That A pillar is definitely thick, but I think it's slightly better than the Air. That may be merely because the driving position is a bit further away from the pillar.
This was posted in the Gravity section by @minivanasatruck https://lucidowners.com/threads/android-auto.12545/post-273689 but it appears a Reddit user claims to have gotten a 2.7 OTA which includes Android Auto. Anyone else seeing this? Possibly a fake screenshot but I'm optimistic.
Edit...
Have not received any 2.7 update notification, but in my experience I usually get updates about a week after people start talking about them here. I'll be watching!
The test route I took today was on regular surface streets, and a small portion on a limited access highway. Yes, the route is technically around the mall property, but the KoP mall is the second largest retail space in the country. The route is a good showcase for the Gravity.
I believe it's a sort of road show, the email I saw about it indicated they'd be traveling to various locations around the country. The Gravity I drove today did not have PA plates.
Usually when I do a test drive it takes me time to feel comfortable with the car. The Gravity had some X factor...
It was a very nice event! They had little swag bags for those of us in the owners club. I asked the execs about the HUD situation, no new info just talked about a vague supply chain issue.
That's nuts. I'm so curious what the deal is with the sun visor.
Never experienced this kind of nickel-dime with a lease turn in. If this becomes a trend with Lucid then there's no way I'm recommending these cars to people.
