Recommendations for Tire Pressure for 20 inch Aero Wheels with Michelin Summer Tires.

After posting my reply I did note that there was a tire pressure discussion in another thread in which there was a suggestion that the higher PSI might actually help avoid bubbling of tires. Thought I’d pass this along. Having said that, I have not experienced the issue with my 20” tires at 42...

Recommendations for Tire Pressure for 20 inch Aero Wheels with Michelin Summer Tires.

For what it is worth, my 2023 Air Touring with 20” wheels was delivered last March with tire pressures at 49 psi, as well. I adjusted them down to 42 psi upon discovering this issue and have experienced no issues with the tires. I guess it’s possible that the higher psi might result in better...

20 inch Aero Stealth Tires replacement

There really is no practical need to switch back to the summer tires once he puts the all seasons on. There is little difference in performance between the 2 in most circumstances (and the OP owns a Pure model) based on reviews I’ve read/seen of both tires.

20 inch Aero Stealth Tires replacement

I replaced the 20” summer tires with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 All Season tires on my Touring and could not be happier. I too live in the Philadelphia area and the all seasons have performed well for me this past winter. Tires are XL load rated but do not have foam inserts. Not noticing a...

    Non-EV Tires OK??

I swapped my 20” OEM’s for them and am happy with the AS4’s thus far. The AS4’s are a bit noisier on certain surfaces, but it’s hardly noticeable thus far.

UK real-world range test of eleven EVS: Lucid is well ahead at #1

I suspect that they assumed the wrong battery size for the Lucid Air. Am guessing it was a 93KW battery, not a 112 KW battery given the range recorded. There’s no way that the Lucid, driving under those conditions, only averaged a little better than 3.167 miles/kWh. My Lucid Air Touring with...

What a Difference a Tire Makes!!

Honestly, before the recent drastic change in outdoor temperature, I did not notice any material change in range. I am noticing a 10% reduction in range now that outdoor temps have dropped into the 10’s and 20’s F.

What a Difference a Tire Makes!!

I’ve replaced my 20” Michelin EV summer tires with the 20“ Michelin Pilot Sport 4S All Season tires. While they are not quite as quiet as the EV tires, the difference in road noise is negligible thus far. On some roads, I can hear a low harmonic noise that I didn’t hear with the EV tires, but...

    Lucid touring charging range…

Your assumption on what is going on is correct. The Touring’s published range of 425 miles is based on the use of 19” wheels. Both the 20” and 21” wheels reduce expected range to 385+/-. 80% of 385 brings you close (308 to be exact) to the 305 that you are seeing in your car. Be aware that...

Range on the Touring with 20” Aero wheels

No doubt you’re right. But, I’m not complaining and would not enjoy driving the car if I had to drive it that slowly, especially on the highway. I’m fine with 300 miles of range while driving the way I’m accustomed to driving. Now, if range was closer to 200 miles, I’d feel much differently...

Range on the Touring with 20” Aero wheels

It’s rated somewhere around 385 by the EPA. But, as I’ve previously noted, I’m getting closer to 300 in real life driving at highway speeds between 75 and 85 mph, with AC, radio, etc and some traffic. Overall usage is running 3.3 miles/kwh.

Range on the Touring with 20” Aero wheels

For what it’s worth, I’m averaging 3.3 miles/kw over 1,500 miles. I did a 200 mile drive yesterday, mostly on highways with traffic and at speeds ranging from 75 mph to 83 mph (whenever possible). I came home at 3.3 miles/kw for that trip, as well. Temps were in the 70’s and lower 80’s and I...
