    "Hey Lucid" specific capabilities

Fine, unless it mishears you or makes a mistake. If it opens the charge port by mistake, it wouldn't be a big deal. The trunk is another story.

Using ABRP for navigation with Android Auto

Lucid's doesn't do quite enough, at least not yet. Google does better in some respect but doesn't get the data from Lucid necessary for range calculations, etc. ABRP can do a lot if you give it the right information up front. But it doesn't do what I'd want to see most. Ideally, instead of...

Android Auto in 2.7.0 - Initial Impressions

Then all Lucid needs to do is show it on top and on the bottom, ask Google to approve it and we're all set.

Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

Tesla's website does say that. When they added it, compatible Superchargers started showing up in the Tesla app as available for the Lucid, if the Air was specified. Shortly after that, those Superchargers stopped showing up. That doesn't mean that they wouldn't work and I never tested it...

Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

That's what I paid. It had nothing to do with FSD. I needed it because Tesla built the original MCUs with flash memory that became unreliable. People were essentially given a choice of doing the upgrade or spending close to that amount on an older generation destined to fail. Tesla eventually...

    Yearly service

I had mobile service done at home. Tire rotation was included. I was explicitly told when Lucid showed what would be done, and tire rotation was mentioned. The person arrived in an Air so no special equipment was needed.

    OTA Update 2.7.0

Additionally, while my car is still not waking up, I can see that it downloaded 17.9GB of data yesterday, which is presumably the update. If it can handle that, I don't think the minuscule amount of data related to communication with the app would be an issue.

    OTA Update 2.7.0

I don't think that signal strength is the issue. I have a mesh system with a pod in my garage and have very strong WiFi in my garage. I've been out of town for as long as I've known about the update and my car has been "waking up" for as long as I've known about the update. I don't know whether...

    OTA Update 2.6.0

I can't be 100% sure, but I've been in the situation where I went to charge at EA with no problem, opened up the app and couldn't track the charging process because the car was offline. It's theoretically possible that the car wasn't offline when the charging started but it seems unlikely.

Electrek likes the Lucid Air as its "Model S Alternative"

The frunk on the Model S had (or perhaps still has) a "frunk crease" problem that was caused by not closing the frunk per instructions. There were no such instructions when the problem first appeared. I don't know whether later model years would end up with a creased frunk if you use one hand...

Electrek likes the Lucid Air as its "Model S Alternative"

I have an S from 2014. I watched Tesla shrink the frunk when they added AWD. Then I watched them do it again when they added HEPA. That left very little volume in the frunk. While I appreciate the volume in my Model S, and the fact that I could remove the parcel shelf to get something taller...

Electrek likes the Lucid Air as its "Model S Alternative"

In situations like these, my standard answer is to tell people to try both/all. I can rave about a car all I want, but there's no way for anybody to measure my objectivity. Bugs aren't something that will show up on a test drive though, and I think that Lucid has far too many...unless I have...

Electrek likes the Lucid Air as its "Model S Alternative"

You don't need to convince anyone here, and many of us are longtime Model S owners. The Model S is still a good car but even before Musk went off the deep end, I still put down my deposit for a Lucid. By the time I got the Lucid, I would have bought it over the S anyway, but I might have at...

    Adapter needed for Tesla Supercharger

It's confusing because Tesla says that. Lucid is listed as compatible in a few places. If you take the Tesla app, add an Air as another vehicle and then add a Gravity, many Superchargers show up as available, without anything saying anything about which car it's available for. I don't have an...

Confirmed: Android Auto coming this fall!

That raises an interesting question. If they released an actual beta, not something simply labeled beta as is all too common these days for buggy software, it might work for some people. With real beta programs, there are NDAs, expectations that users will test certain things as directed, and...
