Thanks for posting this. I just scraped a wheel yesterday and planned to take it to a wheel shop for the repair. I’m now going to try your method first.
We use an RFID tag in our community as well. I have it the lower right hand corner of the windshield. Works perfectly. They wanted to put it on my headlight and I knew it would not work there.
Thanks for the info. I remember your original post and am glad you figured out what the cause was. This is definitely a motor noise, and so I thought I’d put it out there to see if anyone else had the same experience.
Sadly with regards to the second point, you come across people like my barber who just leased his first EV, a Model Y. When I mentioned about charging above 80% and the effect on battery life, his response was “I’m leasing for three years, why should I care about battery life”.
Add me to the list of those who love their Air! It's one of the most fun to drive luxury sedans I've ever had, and it never ceases to make me smile when I'm on the road.
