Car and Driver Comparison Gravity vs Escalade IQ

Back when TVs were cathode ray tube based and as big as a compact, small fridge, an entertainment center would be built to integrate the TV into the living room. That's the era that I grew up in, so I always find it interesting that car designers nowadays just stick screens onto the dashboard...

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

Glad John came to the rescue. This could’ve turned into a major ordeal.

Ten Gravity Dreams left to order

450, I was told. And the goal is to deliver all existing orders by the end of the year.

Ten Gravity Dreams left to order

Was told by a reputable Lucid source that as of today, there are only ten Dreams left to order. Posting this as a heads-up for folks contemplating this choice. Mods: fee free to merge this onto other threads as you see fit.

Yes, it was the Scottsdale SC. They can speak with John, the manager. He was intimately involved with the troubleshooting process which included a few HQ engineers.

    "Upgrades"

Go for the Dream since it has all the features and, in hmp10's words, is a "colossal bargain."

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

I had the first 3 problems on your list and they were fixed when the TCU, the antennae and the wire harness were replaced. It took my SC 3 attempts over almost 4 weeks to sort this thing out since, as I understood, various components in this space were owned by different parts of Lucid and a bit...

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

I'd have never guessed that zip ties and velcro are used in the Air and Gravity. I usually keep my cars longer than average and would prefer something less susceptible to heat, humidity and friction dislodgement. The UV-resistant, industry grade zip ties I use for some of my plants self...

Would you trust this NACS Adapter?

I have to say that I agree with you that the form looks very nice indeed I'd personally put this next to the miniature speedform, but wouldn't use that on the Air. It may be manufactured perfectly compliant with the required specs for certification, but not knowing what's under the hood just...

Charging Gravity @ Rivian Adventure Network (RAN)

Nice. Where is it? The one Rivian location that would have the most impact on the Az-L.A. route is near the Az-CA border and is closed to non-Rivians, the last time I checked. Fortunately, there's a Tesla SC nearby.

    $30K Lease for a Car I Can’t Drive — Lucid Ghosted Me

A thought just occurred to me: There is a possibility that you're allergic to some chemicals in this car. And this would be very difficult to pin down as I suspect there are a zillion parts in the car such as leather, trims, etc., that have undergone a variety of preps involving many chemicals...

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

OK, I placed the order from a Dream and blamed this on peer pressure . On another note, if my memory serves me right, your mother thought the GT was too costly, so how are you going to justify the Gravity Dream to her? :)

Glad to hear he's happy. With all the chatter about Air updates slowing last year because Gravity was the focus, I'd hoped for a more robust debut for Gravity.

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

I thought for the mid-size wheels, there's a 50 mile difference, no? Our first choice was also Lunar Titanium. Yes, $14K is basically the tax we pay for the car. All that remains now is whether I want to take my chances with the hiccups.
