It's nothing specific to the car yes but if you can mitigate any risk of water damage via bottles leaking, snow/rain falling in, with a single trunk/frunk mat why not do it? That's the point I'm getting at. Not trying to mislead anyone here at all, it's a real issue and it's such a small thing...

Wouldn't a ton of melted ice and snow falling into the trunk result in a similar damage?

Strongly suggest the all weather trunk and Frunk mats for this exact reason. One user has a massive bill that was not covered under warranty when water got into his trunk and damaged some components.

Unsure of where you were driving back to, but cold temps really destroy our batteries quick, almost quicker than any other factor. In the Illinois winters here I go from getting ~350 real world miles of range on my AT to ~200 when its single digits outside.

X+Mic reset + touching each of the touchscreens a few times should fix it. This has happened to me twice in the last ~2 months and while it sucks, I was able to fix it with that method. No other reset worked.

Hopefully something big like 3.0 is cooking. Also wouldn't be surprised if it was just December code freezes resulting in the long interval between updates.

I think it does account for heater use. I took a 40 mile trip and the 'Range upon Arrival' actually seemed to be accurate if I was driving at 62mph (truly 60 since its +2 in the dash). As soon as I went to 70+ it started dropping again.
