    Insurance

I was surprised by the difficulty I had insuring my 2025 Air Touring. I live in a rural area of Southern California, am 71 years old, have a perfect driving record, have owned a whole succession of expensive high performance cars and never had any problem with insurance. When I leased the...

    Locked Out

I love the way my car drives, but I can see why the key fob drives people crazy. It is something that worked so transparently on every other car I have owned, but on the Lucid has been a pain since day 1. On the day I picked up the car, I had to enter the house to open the garage door manually...

Cool new key fob for Gravity... hopefully for Air too? (pics)

OK, you've convinced me, I'll try that tomorrow. I just didn't want to do something that would put the car out of action for a while and leave me with a non-warranty repair bill. I actually read the manual, and it doesn't say you can do this even though it solves one of the main issues that...

Cool new key fob for Gravity... hopefully for Air too? (pics)

Must admit I am too chicken to force down the handle from the unlock position, but I have found a workaround that does exactly what I want. Have disabled the passive unlock and have left the passive lock enabled. When exiting the car, I hit the lock icon on the pilot panel (the one in the...

Cool new key fob for Gravity... hopefully for Air too? (pics)

OK, tried it, the push handle to unlock works great (thank you, advice much appreciated), but it doesn't work for locking because the handles are sticking out when I get out of the car, and I think I would break something if I was to push it down? I tried with both "passive lock on" and...

Cool new key fob for Gravity... hopefully for Air too? (pics)

Thanks for the tip - I'll try that when I run out for Pizza in a few minutes. As it is now, it locks and unlocks about six times while I unplug it and hang up the cable; but this afternoon I parked it in a public parking area, did some shopping and it was still open when I came back 15 minutes...

Cool new key fob for Gravity... hopefully for Air too? (pics)

I hate the Air key fob, just give me a normal key fob with buttons (lock, unlock, frunk, trunk and honk) and forget the damn proximity nonsense that either works every few seconds when you are near the car, or leaves it unlocked when you walk away. Perhaps push the handle to lock as you leave...

    Windshield sparkles….

I finally had time to thoroughly clean the windshield inside and out, and (with extra strength reading glasses) I can now see that the outer surface of the windshield is covered in micro-pits. The car is 4 months old, has less than 1,500 miles and the windshield is in worse condition than my...

    Windshield sparkles….

My 2025 Touring is similar, but not as bad as yours. Sandstorm damage during transit or storage seems the most likely, but I don't see the damage when I look at the outer surface of the glass. I am wondering if it may be a defect in the plastic laminate? Now that I am retired, I don't need to...

    Windshield sparkles….

I have noticed the same on my 2025 Touring. Looks like the car has gone through a dust storm. Did not think of cleaning the inside, will try that to see if it helps?
