Insurer would not cover a Lucid

I had no such issue with USAA.

    Just ordered a Grand Touring!

I've had my Air GT since Nov 2022, still love this car, exceeded all my expectations. A true GT car, wonderful for long trips with a range that lets you explore back roads. My only issue was it got vandalized in Trump Country. Guess electricity is now unAmerican in Red states that have been...

    Best reactions to your Air

While driving to a wedding in VA, two young men in a work van chased me, waving their arms. Turns out they were huge fans and this was the first one they'd seen. One of the guys said, "I'm buying stock in Lucid!".

New Touring vs Used Grand Touring

While I might have gone with a Touring for the reasons you site, I'm very happy with my GT and the extra range it provides. I do a lot of distance driving and enjoy all its extra features.

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

I've never had my indicated range drop below 100 miles before recharging. I assume I can go about 400 real miles between charges. But I drive 80mph plus.

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

I just completed a 1,600 mile drive from Ft. Lauderdale to Cleveland, Ohio, then on to DC, a mix of mostly highway but around town driving too. I admit, not good at going slow, because the long range eliminates range anxiety. I averaged only 3.3m/kWh, so getting 350 to 410 miles of range at...

    Best reactions to your Air

I love cars so went to a local Cars and Coffee event. Unfortunately, when I arrived it was mostly muscle cars with their hoods up displaying their powerful engines. Everyone starred at my me and my Air GT. Then the questions started, when i explained its 0 to 60mph time, they all looked glum...

    Contactor Recall Megathread

Such problems don't only happen to vehicles from "brand new companies." They happen tp all manufacturers. Modern cars are complex, many parts are from outside sources, stuff happens.

    Lucid-EA connection failure?

I've found EA to be variable in performance. At the EA location nearest me (4 miles away). It chargers at a much lower rate than the 350Kw stated, ramps up to 150kw before settling down to 22kw. The next nearest EA location (10 miles) is rated at 150kw, but delivers a consistent 80kw. So I...

    Pilot Panel Problem

Lucid techs asked me to bring it in tomorrow. That requires a 75 minute drive each way. Hell of a way to spend a day. This will be the third time I've taken it in for Pilot panel issues and the second time they will have kept the car overnight.

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

I haven't been on a road trip yet, just around town driving. My longest drives have been to the Lucid service center off the interstate. I admit to driving too fast to maximize range.

    Pilot Panel Problem

Lucid had my car in the shop twice before for Pilot Panel failure. All was fine until two days ago when it froze. Can access glove box, can't access charging screen to pre-condition the battery, can't change drive modes, control seats or massage. Lucid's remote attempts to fix it did not...

    Pilot Panel Problem

No I was not given a new pilot panel, the fixes were all on the software side, no hardware changes.

    Pilot Panel Problem

My pilot panel was fixed by Service after installing 2.0.35. Hope the fix is permanent and that I can continue to enjoy my car, though I did decide to fly rather than drive the 1,500 miles after two bouts of pilot panel failure. It will take me awhile to feel confident in this car.

New bug. Pilot and right screen boot up but not center

Upper part of main panel is also blank, if it relates to the pilot panel. Right now the only thing showing on the upper right panel is the time. Everything else is gone, as is milage since last charge.
