Spoke to my Lucid SA today as well. They have a few GGTs that are ready to be assigned. The DEs are still constrained. Some of the studios are getting showroom cars and demo cars later. The SA did hint they might have demo Gravity within a month.
I completely agree! Playing the guessing game - 99% of the time, you are wrong. Car making business is complex and few do it well. You have to generate a repeatable process and managing lots of converging resources to make a product of near perfection. Not for the faint of heart for sure.

Just do it! $14k gives you no regrets and cheap considering the comparable performance boost in the past. I paid ~$40k upgrade for some more horsepower (around 200 hp) that I really didn't need but thought it was cool.
