RESOLVED Lucid Service—Damage My Tint During Repair

Earlier today, my service advisor sent me a text, saying that the regional manager approved reimbursement for any damage to the tint. I was pleasantly surprised because I expected something else. They proceeded with handle mechanism replacement on all four doors. Two out of the four tint films...

RESOLVED Lucid Service—Damage My Tint During Repair

It wasn’t just the door handle, it was the guts/mechanism that controls the door handle. They explained that when they lift it (the mechanism) upwards, it will drag against the inside of the window. If there’s no tint, there’s no damage to the glass. But tint gets cut.

RESOLVED Lucid Service—Damage My Tint During Repair

My 2023 AT is in for service of a fussy door handle. The service center called and said they are replacing the faulty mechanism and want to do the other three doors as a preventative measure. It sounds like a known problem, and they want to avoid the hassle later. Great, right? Not quite—the...

Front Driver’s Side Door Jingle (or jangle)at 70-80 mph

    Thanks for that. Will try.

Front Driver’s Side Door Jingle (or jangle)at 70-80 mph

Has anyone else noticed an intermittent faint jingle coming from the driver’s door area when at speeds over 70. This is making me nuts. When it happens, the jingle is very faint sounding, and it comes from inside the door (I think). It is the sound you would hear if a bolt wasn’t tight enough...

Lucid Air Touring Wind/Vibrating noise when driving

I’ve been suffering this vibration noise, too; it starts in the 70-80 mph range. Intermittently, I get a faint rattle/jangle from the driver’s door area at the same time. Service tech told me it has to do with the aerodynamics of the car as the air flows over the surface. I have my doubts about...

    PPF Advice Please

Suntek Ultra, everything from rear doors forward (so, not 100% of the car), + ceramic coating on top. $4,259 out the door. Lucid shop in Costa Mesa said it was the best PPF job they had seen to date. Its 8 months old at this point, and all good. Glad I did it. Car still looks like it's made of...

What is your Lucid Air software improvement wish list?

Exactly. I charge my car during lunch hour at work. I would love to be able to precondition the battery before I get to the car; this because the Electrify America chargers are literally two minutes from my office, which makes preconditioning not a thing on charge days.

    The Lucid Learning Curve

    2. Nav via Alexa is spotty at best. It’s cool when it works, but I bat about .500 with requests like the one you mentioned.

Amazon Alexa skills with Lucid motors

I have found navigation mostly useless. I use Waze so no big deal. It’s good for playing music. On my last road trip, my wife and I literally killed and hour requesting bar songs so we could sing along. That was probably the best part of the drive courtesy of Alexa. But I don’t rely on it for...

    Crack in Rear Windshield

Mine was a much smaller crack to the rear window, and they gave me absolutely no hassle about replacement. The service technician told me this has to do with the heat in Arizona (either during or after assembly) and the glue used to hold the window not being very flexible.

    Are you getting any tint?

Wow…..50 on the windshield. How is night driving?
