    Braking Under "Spirited" Driving

Regen absorbs a constant amount of energy per time (constant power), which results in a speed dependent amount of braking To understand this think back to high school physics and recall that kinetic energy is 1/2*m*v^2 It's the v squared that gets you, if you compare (145^2 - 100^2) to (70^2 -...

    Solar for Charging Purposes

Not exactly what you're looking for, but maybe next best thing: I got my HV battery + wunderbox replaced 3 months ago at the beginning of Nov, and since then it's only had 1k miles, no DCFC and no charging above 80 % I'm getting back 107.88 for the "state -> battery -> capacity_kwhr" field in...

Single homelink device paired to two profiles?

We got our new Chamberlain B6753T installed yesterday (an all around huge upgrade compared to our old unit), and I was able to successfully pair it to two profiles on the car! Thanks again @Adnillien I found the build date sticker on our old Genie H6000A, and it's from 2004 apparently(!) My...

Single homelink device paired to two profiles?

Thanks!!!! This is exactly what I was looking for, knowing that this one works with the Lucid across multiple profiles we'll probably look at that model or other Chamberlain garage door openers to replace our older Genie H6000A. I did try totally clearing the memory on my opener and starting...

Single homelink device paired to two profiles?

Yes! I think something like this is exactly what is going on! Ok so maybe it's actually a bit more complicated (if someone actually cares I can write up my full theory on what's going on), but the key point stands, I think the issue is most likely with the opener. Which brings me back to my...

Single homelink device paired to two profiles?

Agree, we both need to drive the car so we're trying to make do with the current profile system. I really wish the car just had the usual physical seat memory and homelink buttons So the issue is not with pairing, I'm able to complete that successfully on both profiles using a remote. What goes...

Single homelink device paired to two profiles?

Thanks for sharing your experience. I tried doing a full factory reset, and made sure to name them something different on each profile, but I still can't get this to work. Glad things worked out for you at least.

Single homelink device paired to two profiles?

TLDR: Have you programmed your garage door via homelink to multiple profiles in the car? What brand/model of garage door opener do you have? Long version: I want both my spouse and myself to be able to open our garage door without switching profiles. I tried to program the device to both of our...

Does all Lucid owners apply extra care (PPF, ceramics etc.)?

I ended up going with just a ceramic coating, no PPF. The car does have damage (rock chips, scrapes) that PPF could have prevented, but I don't mind that much. The factory paint does seem to be holding up decently. From what I've heard some notable EV brands have subpar paint which makes PPF...

    BMW i7 EV - Reviews

Not really my cup of tea, but seems like a solid effort given the compromises inherent to the platform. It'll be interesting to see how quickly legacy automakers will evolve their EV platforms, and whether purely EV focused companies will be able to maintain their lead.

    Mid sized Lucid

I'm personally really excited for a smaller Lucid. Lucid packaging cleverness means they'll probably be more than enough space on the inside, and the reduced weight should mean it should handle even better than the Air. If there is a performance variant I would be extremely tempted . . .
