    2.8.0 Software Update

Hopefully we will learn more about the status of the 2.8.0 update during the Lucid earnings call on Tuesday. I will be listening as I do every quarter. Here is the link: https://ir.lucidmotors.com/events/event-details/lucid-q2-2025-earnings-call

    2.8.0 Software Update

My CCC upgrade was installed on 7/31 and I asked the tech to push 2.8.0 to my car at that time. He said that the update is not available yet. He estimated 1-2 weeks. Let us know if they give you 2.8.0 when you upgrade the CCC.

    2.8.0 Software Update

So why do you think that Lucid missed their self imposed release date?

    2.8.0 Software Update

On July 31, a mobile Lucid technician came over to install the version two console hardware in my 2022 Air GT. I asked him to install version 2.8.0 at that time. He said it was not available yet and it would probably be another two weeks. So it was delayed before the Tesla settlement was...

Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

I received a call from Lucid today. My mobile service up grade to v2 hardware set for next week.

Is the stock a steal or not at 2.2

I bought a lot when it hit $1.99 a few weeks ago to add to my position. Glad I did that, obviously. I will continue to add on dips. The triad of Uber, Lucid, and Nuro is a remarkable success. Uber will put the self-driving Gravity on the road, and people will ride it and say, "This is a great...

Hands free Drive Assist! Jul 30. Air first!

They tend to announce software updates prior to quarterly conference calls. The next is on 8/5/25. This is great news.

Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

Yes, thanks, I have tried and know that. The point is that I want the native app to work properly. I don't want to use my iPhone's cellular bandwidth for streaming SiriusXM in the car all day when I'm already paying for it through the native app.

Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

I think that there will be an immediate benefit. I use SiriusXM for all drives. The audio is often choppy, and it seems like the CPU is overloaded or out of RAM. It is consistently exacerbated when I use Lucid Nav maps at the same time. This is reproducible every single time. Turn off the in-car...

Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

I was told the exact same thing by my local Scottsdale Service Center. It’s great that this upgrade will soon be available though.

    negative feedback

Yes it has improved greatly. Not an issue for me anymore if you carry the fob. My car is a 2022. I think it was all a software issue. But the 2025 may be better than my older car.

Oh, one more thing... The Lucid Gravity already has access to all Tesla Superchargers and has the same plug (NACS). The Air has the CCS plug but can charge at Tesla with an adapter. Lucid has not yet announced that the Air can charge at Tesla yet, but its coming. The Gravity can charge at Tesla...

    negative feedback

Is anyone warning you away in the "strongest terms" a Lucid owner? I suspect not. My Lucid Air GT is a 2022 now with 52,000 miles. It's been great. My favorite I have ever owned. BTW, just for context, I also have 2 Teslas, a Rivian R1S, a gasoline Mercedes and a Porsche Boxster in my garage...

    New Air Touring Owner

Welcome! The Lucid Air is superior to the BMW i4 in range, acceleration and room. Enjoy.

    Software and Tech Opinions

Agree. I love my 2022 Air GT. Software has/is problematic at times, but MUCH improved from the version 1.x.x days. I also have two Tesla model 3. A 2023 and 2024. Both have problems with the phone access at times as well. Not as frequently as the Lucid, but it happens. Today I got into the 2024...
