Hi, I made this same decision recently based on these 3 considerations:
1) I don't drive big daily distances, thus don't need the extra battery capacity from GT.
2) Touring has better leg room in passenger seats in the back, relevant if you have adults in the back (in my case sometimes...
Yesterday my key fobs were reprogrammed on site (laptop Lucid service technician directly plugged into LAN-port of my car), because after the big EU 2.6.5 update the key fobs stopped functioning.
This happens rarely but after that they can't be connected again to the car so I could only open car...
That would be great, after I downloaded last version, my FOB stopped working, so everytime I have to use the app to open my car which takes too much time.
Also couldn't connect/link the fob anymore in settings menu. Mentioned it to Lucid Service but no reply so far.
Maybe with this new update...
Is such unit for sale somewhere?
And if I only want to utilize the 240V/40Amp connection as a single plug, to power a laundry machine for example without connecting it to the house grid, will this work? Or I'm I missing the J1772 signalling protocol somewhere?
Does a simple electronic unit...
Ok, but a solar inverter powers your house without a transfer switch. But of course it switches off itself if the Net voltage drops to zero, probably for same reason. But still no modifications or breakers are needed for that, it's all included in the inverter box.
So if your battery send...
Interesting explanation, didn't realize about the need for isolating the home from the grid during power outage.
But if power outage is irrelevant (because it never happens), and main goal is to use the energy from Lucids battery to power 'something' in the house, what would be the minimum...
So, if V2G or V2H is not possible yet, and V2L is already possible would this setup be workable?
Lucid parked at home -> charging a home battery -> home battery powering the house
When Lucid is away, home battery still powering the house
When lucid (with full battery) parks and connects at home...
I tested the new 2.6.5;
What I liked:
- on main screen; when you choose Smooth, Swift or Sprint mode; you can directly choose the type of Regenerative Braking between Off, Standard or High without the need to Navigate through other menu's.
- also the Warning/Confirmation window to acknowledge...
Just received an email from Lucid Motors that a new update is on the way: Lucid UX 2.6.5
Release note (Dutch) can be found here: https://publications.morpheus.prod.dataops.fra.atieva.com/75ed3ec5-d496-4a3a-a70a-a4513def9b8b/content_nl-NL/index.html?
Don't understand why this takes so long, technically it's nothing new.
Every cheap PV inverter is sending back energy from some solar panels to the grid, for decades around already.
Why is the automobile industry so slow with implementing 'old existing' technology.
Update: a service technician told me that USA updates are not the same as EU updates because of differences in regulations. Thats why USA versions can't be downloaded to EU cars and EU versions not to USA cars too.
