Thermal management system temp-thresholds when plugged in

I'm like you and certainly geek out over the technical details. Perhaps a great topic for a future forum "Ask me anything" session with the engineering team :)

Thermal management system temp-thresholds when plugged in

Just for kicks, I asked Copilot. Nothing more than what we probably already knew but It seems the same basic reasons: BMS for optimal SOC and 12v charging as needed Temperature regulation - especially in extremes (It mentioned Arizona as an extreme heat example and cooling requirements)...

Thermal management system temp-thresholds when plugged in

Right. And I can only relate to similar directions from my previous Tesla - keep it plugged in. Now with that vehicle, when the parasitic drain took my SOC about 3-4 % below my set level, the vehicle would wake up the charger and charge back to my set level. I’m not sure if Lucid does this but I...

Thermal management system temp-thresholds when plugged in

Good to know. The odd thing is the car didn’t appear to be awake - no lights on and mirrors folded. Once I hit the lock button on the fob the fans switched off. Now that I think about it, my Model S has done a similar thing before. It’s as if it didn’t “shutdown” properly.

Thermal management system temp-thresholds when plugged in

Interesting question. My garage in AZ is pretty toasty now and I just stepped outside and the fans in my car were running at a moderate RPM. My car wasn’t plugged in however. I’m using a Tesla Gen 3 wall charger ( from my previous Model S), and a Lectron 80 Amp adapter. I’m on a 60A circuit...

    Successful delivery today

Have you sorted the issues with your Air after delivery? How are you enjoying the car?

@Mediawiz, very much like commercial aircraft caution/warning system logic.

    Throttle response, power delivery

Good points all. I'm liking the greater headroom up top. I don't usually drive around that fast but the highway passing power is pretty addictive. My friend tested his Pure with regen off and said the throttle response was very crisp like I mentioned but he hated having to use his brakes. I read...

    Throttle response, power delivery

In summary: Do all drive modes of the Air Touring feature what I'll call "power swell" throttle response that builds the power gradually? Does the GT feature a more "crisp" throttle response down low? Curious if there are differences. Since delivery two weeks ago, I've had a few thoroughly...

Lease Agreement Doc - MSRP vs “Agreed Upon Price”

The EV tax credit is found in section 7 of the contract. The Air credit and other credits are in that configuration summary document. All the math checks out, it's just that all the values are not on one document.

Lease Agreement Doc - MSRP vs “Agreed Upon Price”

You can find this on the "Vehicle Configuration Summary" document. All of your discounts appear here as well since they are not on the contract. I just went through the same search.

Proud owner of new 2025 Air Pure!

Ordered and just received this today from Lectron. 80A rated but I’m still using the Gen 3 wall charger at 48A. It’s charging now no issues. NOTE it’s pre-release so it took me a little over a week for it to ship out. Then just a day or two in shipping...
