I have a 23 Air Pure AWD with a steering wheel that also made creaking sounds similar to (although perhaps less obvious than) those in your video. Service replaced the steering wheel about 9 months ago and the problem completely went away.
The Air's frunk is sensational. The ability to drop a full-size suitcase straight in, while also leaving room for small handbags etc around it, instantly vaults the usability of this sedan into midsize ICE SUV territory. And yes it's my go to for groceries -- just the perfect size without things...
This captures my sole regret with not getting the 360 cams. There’s plenty of times when I’m in tight traffic situations, parking garages, etc. where the 360 cams would have been handy. When I got my vehicle, there was no DD Premium otherwise I would have snapped it up. I don’t do a lot of long...
Oh and also for city driving at low speeds, the presence or absence of aero covers should not be a major driver of efficiency, since the covers are primarily for smoothing airflow at high speeds where the drag force increases with the square of the speed.
I used to have a similar concern to yours. I have a Pure AWD with 20" wheels (basically the same car as yours with some software tweaks). The vast majority of my driving is stop-start in San Francisco traffic with some freeway mixed in, and I too keep the battery between 50-80% with L2 charging...
This is a greatly underrated hack that I have used on a few occasions. Not in lockout situations, but definitely when I didn’t have immediate access to any of the opening modalities for whatever reason.
This is interesting. Something similar happened to me the other day where I noticed the speed limit indicator was showing as a circle (non-US), instead of the rectangle. That’s a telltale sign of a reboot/reset. Didn’t affect my drivability at all, but it was definitely the first time I had seen...
Good to know. So it seems like there still aren't any 2023 Pure AWDs on this forum that have the "won't shift into drive" issue. Anecdotally maybe it's affecting 2024 models the most (AT and Pure)?
First of all, it's truly unfortunate that this is happening for so many fellow owners. I hope that this issue is resolved for you as soon as possible.
Second, @dingo, I believe yours is the first 2023 Pure AWD on this forum that seems to have this issue (I have the same trim and have never seen...
