I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned 2023 Lucid Air Touring (original delivery January 7, 2024) with 18,078 miles on May 1, 2026 from the Lucid Studio in San Diego. It had apparently been sitting in Millbrae since December. 2025. Unfortunately for me, the car was delivered 4 days after we left on a 7 week trip. A friend of mine, a Tesla guy, picked it up for me. He took it to my garage, connected the Wi-Fi and plugged in the L1 charger. I was able to connect the app and have been monitoring the charge level, cabin temp. and the recent update. I have charged it to keep it at around 50-55%. I have also been visually monitoring the car with a pan and tilt camera in the garage.
In the meantime, and much to the chagrin of my spouse, I have spent several hours a day on our trip (we are dog-sitting not doing tourist stuff) watching every YouTube video and posts on Facebook and this forum about the car. As a result, I have been back and forth between buyer’s remorse and canceling the trip to rush home and drive it. Today is a good day. I get wait to get home.
This is not my first electrified car. We bought a new 2007 Nissan Altima Hybrid. In 2018 we traded that for 2016 Lexus ES300H hybrid. We sold the Lexus after we ordered the Lucid. Contributing to the buyers remorse I have had is the fact that the Lexus was the best car I ever had. It was super comfortable and the only maintenance I did over 8 years and 78k miles was 2 sets of tires and routine maintenance. The only repairs were a broken windshield and collision repairs. I'm hoping to be able to say that the Lucid is the best car I have ever owned.
I return home on June 20 and am looking forward to meeting my new Lucid. I'm also looking forward participating in this San Diego group.
BTW, I live in Rancho Bernardo.
