Have just put over 1k miles on my 2023 AT that I bought used through Lucid with 7.2k miles on it. Love the car and have so far been on little trips up to NH/VT, Mystic, CT and will be off to visit a friend in Mendham, NJ this week. Enjoying the car and no real issues so far, just a little range anxiety here and there. One problem with EA, their whole bank was down in New London but it didn’t show up on the charging app.

Located in Stratford, CT and contemplating a trip out to AZ back through TN just not sure when.

Welcome! We have road tripped with ours quite a bit (35,000 miles in 2.5 years with no daily commute) and love it. No range anxiety. A week after getting ours, we drove from Boston out to Yellowstone and back. OK, some range anxiety in the upper west, where there might be only one or two fast chargers in an entire large state. We planned ahead, sometimes choosing a motel for proximity to a charger where we could leave the car overnight.

Might be doing a loop out through Erie, PA, Cleveland, OH driving south to hit Hwy 66/I-40 into Mesa, AZ then back out I-40 to East TN and from there back to CT. Still on EA gratis charging (runs out 2/27) so will be carefully planning that trip as well. Looking towards the last week of October through first week of November. Retired so no daily commute, got the AT for a long range EV since I gave my son our plug in Prius.

Range anxiety gets better with each trip. Have a res in on a 1000 mile range Aptera which is struggling to become matter from the realm of ideas. Couldn’t wait any longer so did my research and thought Lucid has the best thought out vehicle and now it’s proving it in my experience.

Did you find many hotel/motels that had L2 charging as a part of their amenities or for a fee on your trip to Yellowstone?

The biggest problem we had with destination chargers at motels was that (2 years ago) neither Google nor any of the travel sites let you search on that feature. So finding such hotels took way more effort than it should have. We stayed at one (A Comfort Inn) that had one that was free and they were happy to see us use it and let them know if it was working. We stayed at a couple that had pay chargers in the parking lot. And in Cody Wyoming (the last stop outside Yellowstone) one of the two slow chargers in the city was out of order. The other was in a fast food parking lot that happened to be next door to a Super 8, so we stayed there.

There were a pair of chargers inside Yellowstone, at the Old Faithful Inn complex where we were staying. But they weren't marked and very had to find amongst 100 small cabins. Those were free. We were there the last week they were open in the fall and I figured access would be easy, but there was competition for the 2 chargers. It would have been difficult to do the route we drove with a car with a shorter range. I suspect the ones we saw came in via Jackson Hole rather than Cody, which is a shorter drive.
