2026 Air Touring
We've got a few threads going as to what the new updates are, but thought it would be good to have one place to put what we'd reasonably like to see added to those once we've driven with it for a bit. Reasonably is the key word here: multiple people have been told Halo view isn't in the cards, nor is Level 3 self-driving, so asking for that isn't the move.

Per the folks who went to the early access event in Newark, the reason this is 2.11 is that these changes are largely cosmetic - getting the current Air code into the more modern Gravity-esque UX 3.0 layout, with some of the Gravity's features being added in time. Which is great - but why not GO FURTHER, as they say?

From my end, I'd love to see:
  • Dynamic range and/or trip efficiency on the center screen. Gravity has the former, seems like an easy add.

  • Multiple seat memories for each profile. I'd love to have the ability to recall a different seat position for myself without having to save over my usual one.

  • The ability to further dim the new "Lucid vibes" similar to how they were on 2.10 - the current options are much brighter with more color gradient on the top screens, would love to be able to dial that back.

  • While we're at it, why not add an all-black "vibe" for the main screens for minimally distracting night driving?

  • Ability to add one or two more "quick select" slots on the bottom screen.

  • Another couple bands on the EQ - the system sounds great, but I know how to make it sound even better, just need the option

  • A "message center" for alerts - we're still seeing alerts pop up and then go away immediately, leaving nothing but the orange triangle. Is it that a camera is dirty, or do you have no rear taillights - if you miss or accidentally click away from that initial notification, there doesn't seem to be any way to find out, which is kind of silly especially given how helpful and descriptive the alerts themselves are.
This is a fantastic update, and now there's a great base to improve upon. What would you like to see?

This is not actually a UX 3.0 issue, but I have a 2026 Air Grand Touring and have noticed a frustrating driver-display issue.

I’m 6'5", so my viewing angle is fairly high. I can adjust the seat and steering wheel so the speedometer is clearly visible during normal driving. But when I engage cruise control, the speedometer moves upward—right behind the top of the steering wheel.

That means I actually have to duck my head slightly to check my speed when cruise is on.

It seems like a basic human-factors issue: critical information like vehicle speed should stay in a fixed location regardless of driving mode. Move the following-distance information if necessary, but not the speedometer.

This also seems like something Lucid could easily address in a software/UI update.

Has anyone else noticed this, particularly taller drivers?

Not sure if the hardware is setup for this but I'd like to see an icon to indicate if a device is being wirelessly charged, and an option to disable charging for when I don't feel like cooking my phone.

Yes. Hadn’t been a huge issue, but I have noticed it. I’m 6’3”

Add the efficiency in m/kwh to the left side of the center screen instead of just showing miles driven. That's in your first bullet but I'm reiterating it since it's so obvious and should be so simple. Plenty of room to fit it and the car already calculates it.

Also I noticed some of the screens are squeezed toward the top (look in the various setting screens). This appears to be based on the landscape format of the Gravity screen but squeezes text needlessly to the top in the Air, leaving empty space below it. Look at the Trip Info screen for a perfect example.

I’d like to see true integration of Google Maps into both screens. Other cars like Volvo do it where the mapping system on CarPlay shows you turn-by-turn on top screen and wide shot of whole trip on other screen.

Increased frame rate cameras and energy meter. The change is negligible if anything from 2.10.

I support this change as well. My hope with UX 3.0 was that the center dash would be included as well to address some of these obvious usability challenges. Let's push to get it accommodated on future updates.

Yeah, I did have to do a double take to make sure I was on the new version when it booted up. Nothing has changed on the screen directly in front of you.

Would love to see more driving stats as I did on my Tesla. Graphs etc. Real-time speed, state of charge, and estimated remaining range. Today while driving my Air predicted my range at destination was 4 miles higher than I had when 5 miles away from my destination (!)

I’ve noticed it. Email [email protected].

This was years ago, and it was a Lucid employee who I am sure is long gone, so take it with a grain of salt. But they said having the efficiency show on the center cockpit panel of the Air is impossible. For hardware reasons. The way the screens are wired, the way the different screens talk to each other, etc. It simply can’t be done. That data cannot get to that screen.

Sounds nuts. But then again, more than a few people who would know have told me the Air’s hardware and the way it’s all wired together is the work of a lunatic, so I would not be totally surprised.

Gravity has the dynamic range right there on the left side. You’d think they would have included it on the Air while they were porting everything else over. So maybe it’s true.

I believe it. I’ve seen the tear downs of the autobody stuff and it’s incredibly complicated.

I'm not sure I entirely buy it. MAYBE they can't display on the left side of the main dashboard screen, but that seems odd given that it already displays information about the battery state, and It's able to get information about what it thinks the battery state will be when you arrive at the end of your route.

But even if that really is the case, they're obviously able to put nav and music information on the right side of that screen. If nothing else they could find a way to put that information there.

From what I got at the software preview on September 17, the center and left screen are run by a “different system” and never the twin shall meet, regarding the right side. Or at least it would be very difficult.

Again though, the left (main dashboard) already has information common with the stuff on either/both of the right hand screens, otherwise it wouldn't be able to tell you which mode it's in, the miles from whichever trip mode (Since charging, Trip A, or Trip B) you've selected, what the battery percent/range is, what the next turn is, or what the estimated remaining range will be when you reach your routed destination.

All of that requires communication between "sides".

And yet, it was there in v1 of the sw, and other similar data such as the SOC or Trip# odo and current battery SOC are there... so I would call BS (i.e. lots of salt) on this ex-employee's story. And even so, as pointed out in other comments, then put it elsewhere on the (multitude of) screens...

It was not there in early versions.

What was there was the EPA estimate, which requires no math, and no knowledge of you current efficiency. That’s the missing piece they can’t get to that screen.

Incorrect, it was there in v1 of the sw... I used it heavily, and it changed and tracked the value in the "trip" screen, as opposed to being a static EPA estimate...

I got my Air in 2022. It never had dynamic range calculations. You are misremembering.

We all complained we wanted it at the time. And they responded by telling us it wasn’t possible.

And then they removed the miles remaining altogether.
