I am in north of Leander too and work in NW Austin. Picked up my AT Zenith Red yesterday.

OK, so not sure where you are but apparently there is another one of us up in these parts. I arrived for dinner in Bertram, Texas and the people I was meeting said that I just missed a white Lucid stopped at the convenience store next door. I didn't see it though.

More than two months after picking up my car, I saw my first wild one today. Actually saw two. 183 North around Anderson Mill in the afternoon. And shockingly as I was walking the county roads of Burnet/Williamson Cty, this evening sure enough a nice Air with glass roof comes cruising by me. If you were the driver, I apologize for looking like an idiot giving you the thumbs up for your car.

Been lurking for a little bit, but just submitted my purchase order on a Quantum Grey '23 AT with DDP/SSP/Tahoe interior , so I figured I'd start here. Hopefully I'll have the car in a week or two. I'm located in DFW, woud be cool to meet up with a few of you in time!

I made a separate post but then stumbled on this thread, maybe the mods can delete it and get more accomplished here?

I couldn't find a stealth that I liked, so wanted to see how I can achieve a similar look to the one I attached.

I really like the way this one is done, apologizes to the owner (can take it down if requested), I don't remember where I first saw it.

Is this stealth or just metal roof? I have a glass roof. Either way, what would be the best way to achieve a similar result?

Bonus points for installers in DFW area.

Congrats on your Lucid! That’s a great build. The picture you shared appears to have Stealth with the glass roof.

Side note - are you buying directly from Lucid or from a dealer? I was looking at Lucid’s pre owned inventory online and every car shows that delivery is unavailable where I live (Fort Worth) I’m wondering if that’s just a fluke because two weeks ago it showed it showed the option to take delivery at a Lucid center outside of the state.

Ok so I'm just basically going to show the shops the picture and tell them I'm trying to recreate it, as best possible.

I tried to buy directly from Lucid, but I had the same experience you did. Couple weeks ago I could advance and had options to pick up in IL, GA, AZ, etc.. But no longer. I spoke with Lucid reps and they said they're not allowed to offer demo/used cars in TX, never have been able to.

I am hoping to buy a CPO from Lucid sometime, but the experiences described in this thread are very discouraging. Has anyone bought a used Lucid through a third party dealership in TX, and if so, what has your experience been like in getting things worked on under warranty, if you bought a car with remaining factory warranty?

I bought my '24 AT from a third party. So far I have had to use the mobile tech twice, both under warranty.

Just noticed this thread. We bought a 2026 Air Touring back in December. Beautiful car. Love driving it. We are just North of Houston up I-45 in Spring. Just South of The Woodlands.



Have only seen 3-4 Lucid Airs around here in the last year. No Gravitys.

Did see a really nice white Air today on Research Forest Drive in The Woodlands. Even had the Bear on the side. That was the first one we have seen in a few weeks.

Have a growing number of Airs in Austin, and have seen several Gravity drivers around, but as of beginning of this year, the service techs told me there were less than 10 in the area. Did get a thumbs up on Hwy 71 a few months back from a fellow Gravity owner.

We just ditched our Model Y and added a Bronze Gravity GT to the Austin area. How is the experience with the Austin service techs? It’s a little concerning how far away Houston and Plano are…

The Austin techs are phenomenal. Jason and Santana are great guys and communicate very well. They use Autocraft Bodywerks in South Austin as their base of operations, in the event they can't do the service at your home.

I’ve been a Mercedes owner for over 20 years and they weren’t perfect by any means. Needless to say I’m a little nervous. Short of some of the bugs you might face, what do you love about your Lucid?

Gravities drive great; you'll love it. Most of the software issues have been worked out. Nothing killer in the software area IMO, they've done a good job catching up. You have to take comments on this forum with a grain of salt. Lots of frustration from early adopters and rightly so, but at times it gets over the top.

For those interested, the Dallas area should be getting a service center by year end which will help alleviate Houston's service centers backlog. It's amazing the amount of territory Houston's service center covers and when mobile techs can't fix something, it's sent to Houston.

Welcome to the forum.

Realize that a forum like this will always amplify the problems that arise. That is the nature of forums. People ask questions about the things that go wrong. If nothing goes wrong, then most folks really do not have much to say.

I'm 71 and have had a LOT of cars (16) over the years, plus a custom van, three pickups, a Class A motorhome, and three travel trailers. My Lucid AT is the first EV. Every one of those vehicles has had some kind of issues. Some more than others. I love my motorhome, but it costs a metric shit ton of cash to keep it going.

But my 2025 RAM 1500 and my 2026 Lucid AT are the only ones that have heavily relied on software for just about every aspect of their operations.

I have had some software issues with the Lucid. Things like XM radio not coming on or repeating. Electronic sensors for the turn signals showing faults but correcting themselves on a reboot. Doors not unlocking immediately. But nothing worth going to service for. I had a service call for the recall and for the OTA software update not working.

But on my 2025 RAM 1500 Tungsten I have had software issues that gave faults to the engine and drivetrain. Sensors throwing faults about the adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, etc. It had to be towed twice back to the dealership, once the next day after getting it, and then the next day after it was 'fixed' the first time. But I put up with that since it is such a nice truck and the seats fit so well. We tow it behind the motorhome for trips.

The Lucid is by far the nicest car I have ever had. Before that it was my BMW 550i and my wife's 535i. Love driving the Lucid. The acceleration, handling, the seats fit me perfectly, the interior is beautiful, and the exterior is so sharp. I love using the frunk, especially for groceries since I can unload closer to the kitchen door in the garage. I wish the cup holders were not so tight. I do all my charging at home, so my cost is just at 5 cents a mile. The BMW 535i we replaced with the Lucid was costing about 16 cents per mile back in December 2025 when we traded it. With the prices now it would be 20 cents per mile. Right now, my RAM is costing 29 cents per mile. BTW the motorcoach has cost 50 cents per mile over the five years and 129k miles I have had it. But right now it is very close to $1/mile.

Do not fret about all the negative postings. It is a beautiful car, and I am so very happy we bought it. It is actually my wife's, but I drive it daily as I do all the driving when we are going someplace together.
