Is there a difference between SiriusXM in CarPlay vs Gravity’s native XM app?
You'd think so, but I never found a reliable way to stop AA from starting automatically in my Air. Haven't gone that far in Gravity yet.Thank you. I guess "same as last drive" would be the equivalent to having it not launch automatically.
From me the big difference is my service provider. Verizon has a much stronger signal here so I don't get the dropouts on CarPlay that I experience in the native UI. Also, if you have a SiriusXM subscription in another vehicle, you can use the CarPlay app without a separate subscription. Is there a difference between SiriusXM in CarPlay vs Gravity’s native XM app?
Yes, me too. It still connects everytime. Turning off Bluetooth is the only workaround I've found but not suitable once PaaK comes. You'd think so, but I never found a reliable way to stop AA from starting automatically in my Air. Haven't gone that far in Gravity yet.
The interface is pretty different, but all the same functionality is there. The interface in the car (IMO) is much easier to deal with on a day to day basis, but I've used the app from time to time.Is there a difference between SiriusXM in CarPlay vs Gravity’s native XM app?
IIRC PaaK will not use Bluetooth so disabling Bluetooth won't cause problems with PaaKYes, me too. It still connects everytime. Turning off Bluetooth is the only workaround I've found but not suitable once PaaK comes.
Correct, I forgot UWB is outside of Bluetooth. It will still work with Bluetooth off. You can't make any legal phone calls with Bluetooth off.IIRC PaaK will not use Bluetooth so disabling Bluetooth won't cause problems with PaaK
I'm the AA settings you can disable wireless AA so it will only start when you plug it in to the cable. That's the workaround I've settled on.You'd think so, but I never found a reliable way to stop AA from starting automatically in my Air. Haven't gone that far in Gravity yet.
Awesome, I can confirm this works. You need to enable developer mode in the Android Auto settings and then you can uncheck Wireless Android Auto.I'm the AA settings you can disable wireless AA so it will only start when you plug it in to the cable. That's the workaround I've settled on.
It kind of works out too because the wireless charging works great if just doing Bluetooth, but just seems to heat up the phone when using AA, but charges fine with AA and wired charging.
I pressed the center button and it worked fine. Took 3-4 seconds to connect, however. Hung up that way as well.Anyone fiugured out how to answer/hang up calls on CP?
I tried tapping the right pad as usual, but it didn't work for me. So do you need to tap on the screen to answer or to hangup, while in CarPlay?

I assume it's cellular break-up, happens with the Lucid native stuff. Getting that a bit driving in the mountains at the moment with Pocketcast.Anyone else having issues where music keeps pausing with CarPlay? I’m using Spotify. I silenced phone notifications and don’t think it’s service dropping, so basically don’t know why it keeps happening
In the Gravity settings page, open connectivity and select devices. If you touch the Android Auto icon for the device so that it is grayed out it won’t start it automatically. Also make sure that the auto start setting for AA on the phone says let the car decide. At least this is what worked for me.Anyone knows how to disable AA from automatically launch? It overtakes media, calls, etc even if I want to use the native apps.
The only option I found was in settings by selecting to not launch when the phone is locked, but it's sort of a limited workaround.
This reminds me why I never liked AA or CP in

I think I tried that as I have a SXM sub through another car. Worked for a while and then it started barking about the trial was over and asking for a new subscription to be setup in the Gravity.I know someone said you could just log into an existing SXM account directly in the car settings (not via CP/AA) and get SXM to work without having to start a new subscription. In fact I'm pretty sure I did that a few weeks ago. But now I can't seem to find a place to do that after 3.5.1. Did that capability go away with 3.5.1??
I know I can play SXM through AA but I want to use the car's SXM interface. It's a bit of an annoying interface too (gotta re-navigate to Favorites every drive), but it's better than having to go through AA on the small upper screen.
