I have very mixed feelings about this review and video. I have had probably 75% of the same problems that he identified. I don't have carplay and don't switch driver profiles. So, those were non issues for me. Also, I don't parallel park so I don't use the auto tilt mirror. But, as he was discussing those other items, I found myself smiling and even laughing as his comments and obvious frustration validated many of my feelings and complaints over the last several years. Things like the dumb placement of the driver monitoring camera, the inaccurate speed limit display, the frunk opening issue, and the car not locking as I walked away are several of the issues that I have had and have reported here and to lucid. Many of them have improved for me and or are resolved. But, as I'm sure many of you agree, those here who have not experienced these issues have occasionally downplayed them towards those of us who have had these issues and even explained them away saying that it's user error. Well, now, from a very reputable source, everyone can see that these issues are indeed real and are indeed very frustrating. So, on the one hand, as I said, I feel validated.
However, I'm also a shareholder. I truly want this company to succeed. I wouldn't have purchased this expensive of a vehicle if I didn't believe in their potential (my previous vehicle was a CX-5). But potential only sells so many cars. This is certainly bad publicity for the company and there's a good chance it will hurt future sales and the stock price. My only hope is that Lucid will redeploy assets in response to this constructive criticism and address these shortcomings in short order to improve their overall product.
Am I alone in these positions?
