Insurer would not cover a Lucid

I had big issues last year trying to get initial coverage, but finally did... However I am with Liberty Mutual and it sounds like they are now backing off on renewal coverage... My policy renews in September, so I am now concerned. I think it is imperative the Lucid find an insurance...

20 way Purluxe v standard leather

I can say that PurLuxe is soft and very comfortable.. Might even be more comfortable than leather --especially with the 20 way seats.. I imagine that it might be easier to fabricate than leather with all of the functions and features in the 20 way seat. That said, I have some serious...

Looking for opinions on the 21" wheels

BTW, even 20" Michelins need to be kept filly inflated to avoid issues.. These are very heavy vehicles.. Check your tire pressure every week or two

    Profile Seat/Entry Issues

Is comfort entry infinitely adjustable to deepest position? My comfort entry works, but would like to have the seat even retract farther back.. I am one of the owners with upholstery wear and treat to seat bolster rip at drivers side bolster and assume it is due to entry and exit friction as...

    Trunk closure and tightness...

It may polish out... doing paint match on replacement bumper might not be as good as the factory painted bumper cover

    Trunk closure and tightness...

This is not a major issue... Lucid service should be able to adjust trunk closure to relieve pressure on upper bumper. Not sure it relates to production date.

Pure vinyl driver seat has a hole/ tear

That is a good point, but my service manager is not aware of any change in upholstery specs. My car was manufactured in May 23 and delivered in Sept 23.. BTW, I never had any concerns about the PurLuxe until 7 months after my delivery, and there may be early posts here on the forum with...

Pure vinyl driver seat has a hole/ tear

They do not have a quick fix, other than suggesting upholstery repair, but was told that within 60-90 days they may have replacement OEM seat covers... If they get enough complaints they might do something... They clearly need to add some thickness or backing material to the PurlLuxe material...

Anyone else encounter a strange tear in seat upholstery?

I agree. This material is too soft and too thin for the bolster location

Anyone else encounter a strange tear in seat upholstery?

All of these issues appear to be in same area of bolster... I surmise that the sloping roof line leads to some drivers sliding in to seat somewhat sideways and making heavy contact with this section of perforated PurLuxe on seat bolster, which is thin and fragile. Friction against the...

Pure vinyl driver seat has a hole/ tear

Same here..Posted in another thread and reposting here... I do not carry sharp objects in my pockets and use same wallet and phone in pants pockets as I have in previous cars and never had this type of wear or tear on a seat bolster... The only thing I can guess is the rivets on my jeans...

Anyone else encounter a strange tear in seat upholstery?

Same issue here on side bolster... This is on PurLuxe... I am guessing rivet on jean pocket when I slide in... Never exoerienced this wilth any other cars... Now I think that PurLuxe is too fragile and thin... Would not recommend.

Looking for opinions on the 21" wheels

I have replaced Pirellis on Panamera's, BMWs and Jaguars more times that I can count.... Not same experience with Michelin Pilot Sports.. I have several friends who attest to similar experience with Pirellis. Might seem anecdotal, but seems real to me.

Looking for opinions on the 21" wheels

Odd to have that occur at random, but looks like a Pirelli, and they are a weak link compared to Michelins

    New owner needs guidance

I have AWD, and love mr car, but recently got chance to take short drive in RWD version... I liked it... Might not be as fast, but feels a bit more athletic because of lighter weight and balance..

Looking for opinions on the 21" wheels

I have driven both... Mine has 20" Michelins... Feels good and handles well... No complaints or regrets. I have also had Air GT loaners with 21" Pirellia for combined time of almost 3 weeks. They feel stickier and firmer on the road. Nice feel. However, the only OEM 21's on Airs seem to...

    New owner needs guidance

I have 20" and like the ride and handling... I have had a GT loaner with the 21" for extended period and it is grippier and a tad firmer... That said, I am not a fan of Pirelli products in big tire sizes. the 21" Pirellis will likely give you a few sidewall bubbles over time, especially...

    SS / SSP

I have a friend with an Air who did not get SSP, and he does not care.. Just listens to sports, news and pod casts, and says he cannot appreciate the difference. Meanwhile, I am a musician hobbyist, highly immersed in music, and have SSP in my Lucid... To be frank, I was underwhelmed at...

    RESOLVED Is motor whine normal?

My point is that I have had GT loaners several times for extended periods. I have not noticed any difference in noise.. Certainly not enough to bother me... , I also have AWD Pure
