    Scheduled charging unreliable

It's best thought of as a dumb charger like the old Clipper Creek units - sturdy and reliable but featureless.

    Scheduled charging unreliable

My Air used to start charging spuriously when I opened the phone app. This was with scheduled charging on the car, and not on the charger. I haven't tried it in a while. I used to recommend Chargepoint's Home Flex for Air owners because it is so pleasant to use and can charge at up to 50 amps...

    Homelink Software Update

That's great news. I wonder in what medium or avenue Mr. Jenkins sees those user complaints. Through customer service? On a forum? I finally gave up and installed third party cloud-linked devices to open or close my garage doors upon verbal command from Alexa and Google. They work great and are...

Hold out for the Gravity, or get something else?

Polestar's designer mentioned that they gave the 3 a rather athletic styling at the expense of some efficiency.

Hold out for the Gravity, or get something else?

Polestar 3's Cd is 0.29. BMW iX 0.25. Gravity should be a little better.

    Lucid OTA update 2.2.2

Those coin cells should read 3.2-3.3 volts. Depending on the device they're in, they're generally dead at 3.0 volts.

Hold out for the Gravity, or get something else?

I spoke with a neighbor last night who has owned an R1S for six months and absolutely loves it. Fortunately there's an EV for everyone.

Hold out for the Gravity, or get something else?

I'd expect the Gravity's freeway range to be about 330 miles if it is rated at 440 EPA - if the range hit with speed is similar to that of my Air GT. Kyle Connor managed 320 miles at a steady 70mph in the Macan EV, maybe not that far off the Gravity? We'll know in about eight months when all the...

Speculation Lucid Prepares to Announce Partnership with Hyundai on Electric Motors

By the way, management from one company talking to another is extremely common and means nothing. It could even be an attempt to learn another's trade secrets, and weaknesses. Just talking in generalities here from specific personal experience.

Chargepoint Home Flex unit issues maybe solved

Same here - our Chargepoint's scheduled charging works flawlessly with our Volvo. I'm replacing it with an Enphase IQ charger that can modulate its charging output to only use excess solar generation. Not a fixed schedule, but car charging could start or stop any time during the day as my PV...

Highway assist worked on US-98 N Florida - Local Road

HA is intended for use on controlled-access roads without traffic signals, stopped vehicles, or cross traffic - be careful!

    Making native navigation search better!

It's a longer trip into the desert than I thought advisable.

Referral program de-emphasized on Lucid Motors website?

I just noticed that Lucid appears to have de-emphasized the referral program on their website. It used to be prominent, now it takes a while to find even if you are intentionally looking for it.
